4.5" Screen? I don't think so

One has to keep in mind that picture isn't a straight-on shot. It was taken at an angle. That can throw any attempt at measurements off.

I kinda see a hump near the lil lte letters. It kinda looks like the lte letters are resting on it. If it is a hump...the fact that I had to study the picture for a while means it wont be as noticeable as the Droid X 1 and 2.

And the Droid X is a 4.3" phone, so is the EVO. The X is a lil longer and wider tho. I think this phone is at least 4.3" Look at the size difference between the Atrix and Bionic in the docks.

Then again....based on the size difference between the Droid X and EVO, the Bionic could be 4"...lol But I dont think its 4.5"

Very true, but there is no way in hell that phone is 4.5". It would be way bigger. Even if my measurements are off, the max would be 4.3", but even that's a stretch. We'll just have to wait and see. Speculating means nothing at this point.

Also, feel free to check my measurements. Just take a ruler and measure the diagonal of each screen. You will see that it is definitely 4".

There is no way this Phone is 4"!! It is 4.3" just like the DX and DX2. Just look at it compared to the Atrix on the Laptop Dock.

The New Bionic!!!

Agreed. It's clearly not 4.5".

Are you crazy?!?! Thats what rumor threads are all about!!! lol

Seriously, everything is speculating until the phone is officially announced and comes out. Especially after this Bionic is different from what Moto announced at CES.

Hell, for the Droid X1 we didnt know the exact chip in it until a few weeks after it came out. Some ppl also thought the Droid X1 was a slider. Looking at the X from the side I see why some ppl thought that, the way the body had a line right down the middle on the side.

I agree. Definitely not 4.5", probably more like 4.3". I don't know why Moto would make it smaller or larger than the version at CES if they didn't have to and the one at CES was 4.3".

Hey jroc an I live in the same area!

Peeps trying to compare it to the atrix in the dock should just stop, those photos are takin from different distances, like taking a photo of something from 20' away and comparing it to a photo of something taken 10' away.

I estimated 4" originally as well, because I did it in paint and the angle, I said 4.3" max, and I think 4.3" is big myself, definitely doable, especially if there isn't hardly a bezel, but I think 4" is a much more reasonable size screen for normal sized people.

I agree that 4 inches is the optimum screen size, but considering Motorola has yet to release a single 4 inch screen droid, I'm just having a hard time on why they would now choose to make it 4 inches. While I feel that 4.3" is too big, I bet most people would prefer that over a 4" screen size. We'll have to wait and see.

People are comparing the size of the phone to place where's it's docked at, so it doesn't matter if they are at different distances.

Optimum screen size is personally preference. I personally think 4.3" is just right, but like I said before, the original Bionic was 4.3 so why change the screen size.
