5.5.5.893 FXZ .901/.902 compatible and.902 update

Ok so I was on .893 with 4ever root via tehRoot 1.1
I updated to .902 and lost root for some reason.

Trying to go back to .893 (even tried .886) via this FXZ from the OP. I downloaded the latest drivers (the same drivers worked to root in .893 originally, so I know they are that works). Using RSD I have tried flashing a dozen times and it only gets to flashing 1/22 for a few minutes, and then FAILS saying...

"Failed flashing process. Failed flashing process. 1/22 flash mbm "allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin" -> USB error occured while reading/writing.; phone connected."

Please help!! My goal is to be at .902 with root.

EDIT: I tried different USB ports with no luck. Tried it on my wifes laptop and BAM! It worked! I am now seeing the official OTA for .902 on the phone. Going to flash this instead of the leaked .902. Hopefully I keep root this time!

I rsd back to 893 did the exploit to root 893 and then 4ever root to keep root then updated to 902

If we revert him back to .886 we can get him root but he cant update he gets a signature verification error every time but when we put him on .893 he can update just fine but the rooting process stops at damon started successfully an doesnt continue

wow ... lol that is quite the situation. I remember back when I first got my phone I had similar trouble rooting using dhacker29's root tool, I cant remember what I ended up doing, but I wanna say I used something like Pete's One Click or something else that may not have been forever root.

yes but only if u have just applied it an for some reason it failed an u want to use this FXZ file to fix it if not the .893 will work just fine

Edit: thought it was a cdt but lol (hits forehead) my cdt is universal should have thought it was a usb problem i will update the op for anyone else that come across this problem

i should be thanking u for ur patience cuz i am not even in ur shoes an i wanted to throw ur phone at the wall lmao i cant imagine the frustration u were going through but i am glad that we worked this monkey out

we finally worked that monkey out he is updated and forever rooted lol now all i need to worry about is not letting this thread get lost in the forum so people will be able to find it easily
 
You, sir, are a steely eyed missile man. I could NOT get this thing to update over the air, even though by rights it should have (other than rooting and forever rooting, no changes). This did the trick.

U need a different battery thats charged or an external charger

ok, this is what i am getting when i try to side load the update. i have done everything else. achieved root. trying to get the .902

this is what it says.

assert failed: file_getprop("system/build.prop".
"ro.build.fingerprint" ) == "verzion/tagra_vzw/cdma_targa:2.3.4/5.51_84dbn-release-keys"
ll file_getprop("system/build.prop".

that update error means u have the wrong update if u are on the .901 update u need the 23 mb update if u are on the .893 update it means u are trying to install the 23mb 902 update instead of the correct 56mb one
