[ROM] [6/18/12] CM9 ICS For the Droid Pro

Considering the state of the current build, I don't know what else he can improve other than the camera (which we've been told not to expect). Seems to me like he's already got pretty much everything covered.

Since we're running ICS here, you might take a look at Apex Launcher. Bit nicer than Trebuchet. Also using ICS Browser+ instead of the stock ICS Browser. Both are nice additions to a great Android version.

If we "downgrade" to an older version, do we have to wipe data then? Been having multiple freezes with the newest build.

Ok. Once I got to the system recovery menu, I selected the .zip file and hit enter. It started to install but then I recieved a "E:failed to verify whole-file signature" message. Then it said "installation aborted". I have tried this several times but this always happens. I wiped all of my data and cache and this still happens. Am I doing something wrong?

I read the droid 2 global forums, unless I missed something, I don't see any definite confirmation on the camera working. I see something about a camera hack, and another post about someone installing the lg camera app and making it work, however the original (and updated) initial post still lists the camera as not working.

Technically the droid 2 global roms do work on our phone with some minor annoyances (like the keyboard), so I guess anyone can try it (just swap out the build prop). Still another day of work so I can't try it until saturday, and hopefully jackpot will have an updated build by then.

What's the benefit of apex launcher?

I'd be curious to know that myself. The nice thing about trebuchet is that its pretty fast. Every time I use it I almost convince myself to stick with it... but then revert back to my Go Launcher backup because it's already customized and I've gotten used to the additional functionality. However, if there was something in the middle that was as fast a trebuchet but with a little more functionality, I'd consider switching.

fyi - I have about 150 apps, so by 'fast', I mean fast at loading the apps menu. They're all fast when you first image but some really bog down over time. :)

Yes, sometimes the camera working! With a workaround... But I've read from x13thangel this ..."makes 3rd party camera apps show right colors (it is mirrored now though...)"

Apex takes the stock ICS launcher and adds functionality that reminds me in some ways of GO! launcher such as the scrollable quick launch bar at the bottom. More information can be found http://blog.anddoes.com/apex-launcher-faq/.
