[6-22] Froyo Kangerade V1.1 - 10% Battery, GUI for scripts, All a2sd option, 7 Themes

Please someone help me fix my camera's auto-focus. I'm super new to all this and i apologize for the ignorance but i just want my camera to work on this sweet ROM. All I know is that I am running Kangerade V1.1 and was having the same issue with V1.0. My camera will not auto-focus. Please fill me in on a fix. Explaining it to me simply would be greatly appreciated....

Well no issues for me. Just wanted to say thank you for a great ROM, no lag or FC for me aside from rare occasions.

Where are the 10% increments for the battery? I have 0, 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100. Where are the others? I have pulled the framework-res and searched through it and I can't find the .png?!?!?!?! I am looking at 90 RIGHT NOW on my phone????? I am trying to theme the battery and want to get all the files changed.......

Anybody know???? Thanks!

The other battery PNGs are swapped into the jog_dial_arrow PNGs.

My question is what XML was changed so that the battery will reference those PNGs when the battery is at 90, 70, etc.?

Outstanding work, Jrummy! Looking forward to your full-source ROM... The Kangerade Scripts GUI is a phenomenal feature!

I've had a few minor problems, I'm curious to know if anyone else has run across solutions... I've read through the enitre thread but didn't see these issues addressed/resolved so forgive me if I'm rehashing closed issues.

I'm coming from BB 2.1/2.2. I've flashed the ROM several times (had trouble with FC during setup the first few tries) with data/cache wipe each time; Blue theme, Chevy1's ULV 1.1GHz, LWP disabled.

1) I'm running into random reboots; I know it was mentioned, did we figure out the cause/solution?

2) I'm also running into a number of hard freezes that turn into reboot, sometimes a bootloop... It doesn't seem to be caused by any particular app/process; it's happened to me while using Facebook, the Market, Settings and the G1 IM app.

3) Speaking of the G1 IM app, I keep getting FCs while attempting to sign in to my WLM account. Anyone else tried?

4) Has anyone else tried using the camera? Mine seems to "function," but the display is blacked out, as though something is covering the lens.

5) I know the Kangerade Scripts was updated, but I'm having an issue that I didn't see addressed... the scripts for removing certain apps (Email, CorpCal, various launchers) seem to be executing, but the apps remain installed.

6) Is there any way to uninstall the Twitter app? I tried selecting that option during the ROM flash, but it was causing the setup FC I mentioned. Any other way?

Thanks in advance for any light shed on these.

But can some one please please please tell me if it has been able to make LOCALE to work on this rom?

I can't say I've tried, my friend.

1.) I use the same kernel (assuming you're using the 7 slot) I also run into reboots but only when I overclock to 1.1gHz. Back it off to 900mHz. That's plenty of speed for this rom. Why it reboots? Not all phones are the same. I've been told to try different kernels to see which one works the best but like I said 900mHz is plenty for this rom as it is already pretty quick.

2.) Haven't had this problem. Sorry.

3.) Same thing happens to me. I hardly use the other IM clients so I just downloaded MSN Droid. Works great.

4.) Photos or video? I haven't had a problem with photos but videos I'm not sure as I haven't used video capture yet.

5.) Haven't updated it yet. Call me old fashioned but I'd rather use the Terminal Emulator.

6.) I'd like for Twitter to be gone too. Not sure how to remove it. I just ignore it.

Issues 1, 2 and possibly 4 sound like kernel issues. Try a P3 Froyo kernel, as I and a lot of other folks are having good luck with those.

I'll have to defer to other for the rest of the issues, as I have not been able to spend a lot of time playing with any of that yet on this build.

Love the ROM jrummy!

Question. I used to be able to put an app other than browser at the bottom of the screen. However now, it is grey and I can't change it.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

IIWII

I could be wrong (because I went back to 1.0 after a loss of root access on 1.1) but try a long press on the black and white icon in the bar.

JRummy awesome work as always! I havent had a single issue of any kind since loading 1.1 on the drop day.dancedroid

And now that the Froyo source has been released I can only imagine what the next ROM version will be!
I'm guessing 1.2. lol

Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

LMAO but I know from the man himself its not gonna be that! Unless the something changed since he told me via PM.

Yeah I figured that! Just thought I'd add a little humor. It will probably be called v. amazing.0

How do I get my phone and browser icon blue? I thought it would look like the screen shot after I dled the blue 1.1. Should i install the goodies would that help? I installed using clockwork and it never gave me an option to choose what kernel I want to use etc..

I could be mistaken, but it sounds to me like you guys were using a different launcher before, possibly ADW. The ADW Launcher has been using a custom version of the default Froyo launcher for a number of weeks.

Thanks for the tip, I went with MSN Talk, and I already like it better than the G1 app. I guess I should have dug a little deeper when looking for a WLM app!

As for the camera issue, both still and video are affected.

Thank you both for the advice. I'll mess with the different kernels and see if I can get any results.

From changelog:
-Removed ADWLauncher as the default launcher and added back froyo Launcher2

Jrummy...why'd you remove ADWLauncher?

idk man.. just would suck if adw updated or something.

I did compile the latest version. You can download it from the first thread and install it like a normal app.

Does this mean the new ADW launcher will have 4 slots instead of 2 at bottom for desired app shortcuts? ( Action Buttons ) PLEEEEASE tell me you didn't take out all of the cool options like Background alpha, Zoom speed, home button binding so I can hide status bar with home button, and horizontal drawer. LOVE those features and didn't get them from the ADW in the market.

Just got back from vacation and installed V1.1 without problems. Came from V1.0, did a back up but did not wipe. Everything seams to work just fine. Guess I am one of the luck ones cause I never seam to have problems when installing ROMS. My first attempt at installing with chevy's low volt 1.25 kernal gave me a download error for some reason, but switched to chevy's LV 1.2 kernal and it installed fine. I'm glad I did not have to wipe data cause I hate re-setting up my screens! Keep up the great work Jrummy! Is Kangorade Grape on the horizon?

Edit:
Maybe I spoke to soon. No major problem though. After installing 1.1, my banner was still set at the custom banner I set with pull down editor and metamorph. I used metamorph to change the battery icon to my blue round battery icon and my banner reverted back to Verizon wireless. Used metamorph again to change the banner back and now my battery icon is back to the stock icon and will not change with metamorph. Tried to change it 3 times and the stock icon keeps staring me in the face. Any ideas?

Edit 2:
The plot thickens. When I plug in my usb cable to charge the droid or transfer data, the battery icon changes to the round battery one I changed with metamorph. When I unplug the cable, it goes back to stock! WTF?

Edit 3:
Figured it out. Jrummy made this version with battery increments every 10% and my round battery icon is for 20% increments so I will get both icons showing up. The round battery will show up at 100, 80, 60, 40, 20 and the stock icon will appear at 90, 70, 50, 30, 10, etc. I guess I can live with that. It will just add to the uniqueness of my kick ass Droid!
