[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

thanks ... that's exactly what i was asking for ... but is this the same CWM recovery version that gets installed with CM7 and CM9 builds by jackpot calvin ? ... ok i flashed it ... but i am getting a boot loop into this bootmenu without hitting the Volume Down button ... every time i choose reboot from within the CWM recovery / New Bootmenu ... to do things differently got into the boot option of this new bootmenu and chose 'normal' i seem to have moved past the Bootmenu/Recovery and currently stuck at the ANDROID screen ... i have the GUMMY ROM flashed on my device !!!

how do i Boot into my device successfully ? Any help is greatly appreciated !!!

thanks,

Choose 2nd init as default.

Is this the normal way of booting into the device after applying the zip updates ?

or

Is this the fix to get out of my current situation ?

However i found the new bootmenu/recovery very unstable ... i could not mount USB mass storage from the bootmenu as well as from within the CWM recovery ... so i pulled the SD card copied the oldclockwork.zip and flashed it ... rebooted and i am past the recovery and currently on the ANDROID boot screen and stuck there ...

Now that i have flashed into the old recovery ... i don't know how to hard boot into the old recovery ...

r+m+power up takes me to a screen with a triangle and and exclamation mark within with the android bot in green ...

help needed ...

You can uninstall my bootmenu, restore the droid 2 bootstrapper, then with clockworkmod app install the new recovery...
When you reboot your phone you will stay in new clockworkmod...

i am unable to get into recovery or boot successfully into the ROM ... so i can't do any of the above ...

What do you mean when you say "then with clockworkmod app install the new recovery..."
which clockworkmod app ? bootstrapper or ROM manager ?
or
are you referring me to flash your bootmenu zip once again ???

Meanwhile need help either to boot into recovery or to boot into my ROM so that i can reinstall Droid 2 Bootstrapper ...

First: thank you! I've seen a lot of new things! Really good job!
Really thanks!

Gsm and voice data are ok!
But when the screen go off, after some seconds/minutes the synchronization go off (not the switch, but I can't receive my mail). When I unlock my phone, and after a few seconds the synchronization is ok...
When I switch from 3g to 2g I don't have anymore my data, when I return into 3g, I have again my data...
The first issue I had also with ics (synchronization...)...
Wifi is ok!

Edit... first random reboot switching from 3g to 2g! And disabling, renabling data...

2 edit... if I enable/disable wifi, I can get data on 2g.... strange...
Another random reboot switching 2g to 3g...!

3 edit... if I don't have gsm data, I can enable/disable wifi and then I can get again my data on 2g, or 3g...

4 edit... (when I don't have my gsm data) in a logcat i read: mobile data state tracker "connected event did not supply a default gateway"

5 edit... on gsm data when i don't have connection (i have the symbol, but not the data), i don't have the gateway.... When i disable/enable data switch i can get the getway and the data again.. (so no data, no gateway... disable/enable data i have again data with new gateway... I'm trying to edit build.prop for manually putting a static getway on gsm data, but it is a dinamyc gateway... )

I hope that my English is not so bad, and you can understand me...
I'm sorry...

Could you post a link to the recommended gapps zip for this build? I'm never quite sure which one is correct when I head over to the repo.

Also, I'll be your CDMA data guinea pig, but it may take me a couple days to get around to flashing this build.

You can also SBF back to stock and start over. Detto, is GSM voice and data working?

Yes i think that would be the last option ... will try it after this one last attempt ... there is a procedure maintained on dettofatto's xda thread ...

Dettofatto ... can you please clarify this procedure ... as its unclear in its current form ...

Summary for droid pro ...
You can't reboot in recovery clockwordmod because you have installed a wrong rom (bootloop or you see only motorola's logo)?
Install droid exlorer on your pc and open (Droid Explorer - Download: Droid Explorer 0.8.8.2 Beta), plug in usb cable to your computer (have you installed the right drivers for adb?) reboot your phone (shift+alt+del), let to your computer (and droid explorer) to recognize your device, choose on droid explorer "tools > apply rom update > choose any little zip (also a fake zip, it isn't important!) on your pc > reboot and apply now...
Youre phone will reboot and you are on the standard recovery, press volume up and down together (or @) and choose reboot... Now you are in clockwordmod...

I have installed Droid Explorer connected my device ... (the drivers are installed on my computer as the device connects to my computer in bootloader mode) ... I switched on my Droid Pro ... and the Droid explorer does not recognize the connected device ... and my device boot is stuck at the ANDROID logo ...

I am not sure how to reboot my phone(stuck at the boot logo) with the shift+alt-del combination ... battery pull is the only option i can use once it is stuck at the boot logo ...

Your help is most appreciated to revive my device through droid explorer ... i want to avoid SBF'ing as its a little long procedure with all the updates to be run ... :) ... SBF'ing will be the last resort, if everything else fails.

I am still on the previous version of CM7, but yesterday I noticed an issue for the first time. When you try to shoot a video with the camcorder, as soon as you hit record, the camera focuses all the way out (close/macro) and does not autofocus. Tapping on the screen does nothing. It just seems like upon hitting record, it defaults to closest focus, and never moves from it.

Also, it might just be me, but I could swear the camera used to take much higher quality photos before I flashed to CM7. As if it's defaulting to a low quality despite my settings.

Thanks Jack!

I had just installed the latest CM7.
I am a GSM user.

I noticed that when I checked ' Use 2G only' option. The network mode setting is switched from GSM/WCDMA to GSM only. But when I uncheck the option of 'Use 2G only' the network mode will stay as GSM only instead of GSM/WCDMA.

In your build.prop set
Ro.telephony.default.network from 7 to 3...
Save and reboot...

Did you do a full /System /Cache /Dalvik wipe before flashing the newest ROM?

I haven't tried to install this yet, but I'm on GSM as well, so if you wiped all of those and are having these issues perhaps I will wait before flashing it myself.
