[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

You mean your data still fell asleep even while running alogcat?

In any case, I will not be needing GSM for another year or so, and I will be getting a new phone in a couple of months... so I am out with regards to this issue. Sorry :D

BTW if anyone is wondering, for tethering use the barnacle app, it works perfectly on this ROM and Verizon doesn't seem to detect it. Wish I had known this sooner.

Yes! My autosync goes away also with a alogcat!

Which phone?

Sent from My Motosola....

Can I install this latest CM7 zip over the November version ?

I wouldn't. There's months or new code and stuff implemented that could break things. If you were to install over the November, I would wipe system and cache, then install. If it boots up but it runs sluggish or you get force closings, then you should wipe data. It might not even boot, but you will still be able to wipe data and reboot and it will boot up

No wifi in the 6-06 build?

I came back to CM7 after a long layoff, and I had no problems with 3G, which is what sent me away in the first place. Now, if I turn on Wifi, the icon will turn green, but I will lose all data. Turning off Wifi gives a seamless switch to the cellular network. An interesting symptom: the IP address that my Verizon FiOS router gives the phone is never the same, like it thinks that the phone is a new device every time it turns on wifi. Does that add a clue? It's a shame, because CM7 is so nice, I'd be thrilled if I could just see it stabilize a bit more.

There's an issue where the MAC address changes on each reboot. I have a fix that I'll post tomorrow probably. Once you use the fix, your MAC address will stay the same as long as you don't wipe /data. Even though the MAC address always changed, I was always able to connect to Wi-Fi which makes your case weird. Did you try rebooting your modem? The MAC address fix will help those who have a static IP address set up for their router

That's very likely the exact cause of my wifi problems. I am using an older Verizon FiOS router, and it's not programmed to keep up with the changing MAC addresses. I have another router that I can plug in to debug if need be, but I am confident that this is the bug. Which is brilliant, because the wifi/cellular changeover is flawless, and once I can get wifi working properly, I cannot think of a reason to ditch CM7 and my trusty Droid Pro!

Hopefully it is. I'll upload the MAC address fix tomorrow

voice too low in phone call

after I update 6.6 cm7 from 4.7.3-rom, my phone call' voice become too low that i can not hear anything. anyone have the same problem like me?

I've noticed this problem since the first builds of CM7, but I wasn't able to find anything on Googling. When making a call with a +1 (US country code) in front of it, I get a fast busy signal, and will have to erase the + from all my dialed numbers. This is annoying, because Verizon seems to send the caller ID with +1 in front of every number it gives me, so many of the numbers in my phone book, plus all the numbers in my call log, will have +1 in front of them. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Can anyone suggest a workaround?

Wow, you're absolutely right, I just noticed this. My contacts that have a +1 in front won't dial. Actually, I was trying to call someone yesterday and I kept getting a busy signal, but actually the call was not going through. I had no idea. This is a pretty serious issue.

Looking into this now. Are you saying the builds from like November and before that were like that too?
