[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

Working wifi is achieved through luck as of right now. It seems that if your settings don't stick (I choose the automatic screen rotation checkmark) then your wifi won't switch... if your wifi works, then settings stick. It's like choosing between the lesser of two evils

from 3.8.7 you run the updater to get the OTA.
It brings your system to the latest official gingerbread (version 4.6.8)
From there you can root and insstall CM7 with the normal instructions

Ok this is weird. Wifi stays on now but itnever gets connection.
It says its connected, but in tthe browser I cannot connect to websites

First boot, wi-fi working, but GPS settings doesn't stick.
After fixing permissions and reboot, GPS settings are stuck.
However, after another reboot due to changing sd card, the GPS settings doesn't stick anymore, and even date&time's 24 hr format setting didn't stick.... :frown:

So I love this ROM but I need Wifi for it to be my everday ROM.

Is the Wifi issue potentially going to be fixed? Is it an issue with the original CyanogenMod code, or just a Droid Pro incompatability?

Also, is the Wifi the only open issue? And if so, will this become an official CyanogenMod on the ir website?

Finally :), is there anything that I can do with the Droid Pro side button?

Jackpot:

I am running one of the older versions of CM7 (i think its the first gingerbread one) and I am trying to get my phone to install drivers on my new computer after a hard drive crash. Is there a reason that CM7 would prevent the mtp usb device driver to fail to install? There are countless threads out on the internet about the problem, none with good answers though. I really want to try out some of the newer CM7 builds, but dont want to without a working sbf. Anybody else know a way to fix this?

Are you running a 64bit OS? I have that same problem with my laptop, and it seems it's really common among people who run 64bit systems. Nothing I have tried to fix it has worked. I've resorted to just using my 32bit netbook to SBF and transfer files when I'm too lazy to dig out my card reader or microSD adapter.

I have tried it on both my 64 bit and 32 bit machines...no dice on either. Thats why i thought it might be something with CM7.
