[ROM] [6/6/2012] CM7 for the Droid Pro based on GB

Yes it is indeed a DNS issue. I'm working on it as we speak, I've made a little progress in understanding how everything works

I've used the apex rom no wifi issues at all. Proximity sensor and light sensors are a problem though.

I may have just fixed it. I don't wanna get anybody's hopes up, but I was able to reboot my phone, and was able to pick items in the settings menu without the settings sticking, and then was able to switch from 3G to Wifi and vice versa without any problems. As far as I know, this has never happened before since we hopped up to the gingerbread kernel so the fix might be real

Do you have an ETA on release of fixed ROM

Lemme keep testing to see if this legit. This may have only fixed the data issues, not the sticky settings. Only one bug at a time :P

Promising news! I removed what I did to fix the data switching issue, rebooted, and the data wouldn't switch. Then I re-added what I did to fix the data switching, rebooted and it works! I can't think of any other variable that would cause this. All of this happened with the sticky settings being fixed from like six reboots ago meaning it stuck the entire time as I checked it every time. It looks like instead of having to pick between the lesser of two evils, we get the best of both worlds! Cheers :D I'm thinking of a way you guys could do this on your phones (you don't need a whole new rom, just a file that's a few kilobytes

Great! When you find a solution we are very happy! Thank you!
Only for inform you: when I connect to my wifi, I can ping and browse my router, but not the web...
It's a DNS issue....

okay heres the 160kb download http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?bdsldt545yy1gkl

download it, turn off your wifi, and reboot into recovery and install it as you would any other rom i've posted for you

after you reboot, open the terminal emulator app, and type

cd system
cd bin
su
fixdataswitch

then reboot

do it just like this:

hasn't failed me once, i recommend only turning off your phone or restarting it only after turning off your wifi so when it reboots, wifi won't be on

there should be no need to do this more than once. it modifies a file in the /data/ folder, a folder that our roms don't touch, so regardless of if you wipe the system or anything, this shouldn't modify your data
