Philosophy comes from tasking an "expert" with a problem

House MD is almost too obvious to compose a hint for. If you look at the IMDB for the TV show, you should have all you need to know in the first sentence of the Storyline.

looks like gold can be used for something else too

I had some great ideas for that:
Gold + City = El Dorado
Gold + Fish = Goldfish
Gold + Brickhouse = Fort Knox
Gold + Firearms = Saddam Hussein
Gold + Dragon = Treasure
Gold + Coin = Doubloons
Gold + Water = Conservativism
Gold + Diamond = Jewelry
Gold + Mummy = Pyramid
Gold + Spinning Wheel = Rumplestiltzkin
Gold + Alcohol = Goldschlager

But it seems that none of those is it, and Gold + a substance = another valuable we've already found. I think that Gold is not a component of the last item.
