All contacts not transfering?!?!?!?

I have recently upgraded to the Droid RAZR from the Moto Droid, and all of my contacts did not automatically populate on my new device. I have exported my entire list to my sd card and cannot figure how to import to gmail. Any help would be greatly apreciated!!!
