[ROM] [Alpha] Ics4Bionic 01-25-2012

When this ROM is completed, can it be installed with Bionic Bootstrap or just Safestrap? Am having a terrible time trying to understand proper use of Safestrap.:frown:

Yes it will. Remove bootstrap. install SafeStrap install recovery in SafeStrap. Reboot. Click button fur SafeStrap enable safe mode wipe flash and boot

Well, I will give it a whirl someday -- when you get to the Beta stage. For the life of me, I just can't seem to wrap my head around Safestrap. LOL A bit nervous to try the Alpha just yet though reports seem good. Thanks and looking forward to it!

Give Safestrap a try, I think you will like it. It's like having a dual boot on your computer. You can keep your current daily as you try out new roms and themes. Plus, if the new rom bombs for some reason, you reboot and go back to the working daily. Only one thing to remember: when you are in UNSAFE mode, you are in your daily and it is UNSAFE to install a new rom. When you are in SAFE, it is safe to screw around with it. FWIW.

Wait! So Safestrap allows dual boot? I would be willing to try this rom but I don't want to lose what I have set up. My Bionic is running very good.

Yeah it's a pretty fantastic little piece of software, I love it. On a side note, I got the .893 update and now I need to go hunting for a new root method -.-

I may just have to try this! I am assuming the instructions for installing safestrap are on the first page of this thread correct? As for .893...if you were rooted BEFORE you upgraded you should still be rooted. I am forever rooted. However I did NOT use the .894 update yet since I hear that one will break root...

Be sure to remove bootstrap first before installing safestrap. Remember backups in bootstrap will not work with safestrap.

I remember reading that when I first heard of safestrap...I just never knew it could dual boot! So I should make a back up right after installing safestrap as a precaution correct?

Thanks!
