I'm having the same bootloop issue. I've tried reinstalling it from scratch, verifying that all the proper data was being wiped, etc. Could it be a problem with HOW I rooted my BIONIC? I just used Pete's root tools.

Were did you make you SafeStrap backup external SD or internal ?, find SafeStrap Backup delete it and do the whole process over .

I did that twice, but I only ever saved the backup on the Internal SD. Would it make a difference saving it on the External?

Well here's a stupid question... After doing all the steps in SafeStrap I click Reboot. The screen goes black and the bottom buttons stay lit up. I left it like that for about 5 minutes before I figured it just got locked up, so I pulled the battery and rebooted manually... Did I need to just wait and let it reboot on it's own?

I am having the same bootloop as the others above. I went back and uninstalled SS and deleted the ICS alpha and downloaded and installed again . Same probs.

Yep, tried it on External, still no go. It just hangs on the restart with the capacitive buttons all lit up. I left it there for about 20 minutes but nothing, so I just reset the battery and turned Safe Mode off. Restarted back into 2.3 just fine.

I don't get why it wont even let me into safe system. It goes back to the unsafe system. No matter what I cant even access safesystem

I didn't have a problem with alpha 3. Worked first time, booted faster than any other ROM I have flashed, and went right back to sweet [P]URITY when I exited safe mode.

Having the same issue as others. Get stuck at the Theory Rom boot ani after wipe and format. Does it matter that my main system is 5.5.893? Also, when I wipe Dalvik I get an error about sd-ext, not sure if that matters.

Ok finally found the safeaystem backup and deleted it. It let me into safe system and I reflashed the alpha 3 but got stuck at the nexus theory rom boot screen. Let it go for ten mins and nothing. guess ill just wait till the next alpha..

I downloaded ROM to sd-ext.
Uninstalled Bionic Bootstrap
Installed latest safe-strap from OP
Rebooted and hit menu @ safe-strap screen (within 10 sec.)
Used safe-strap to back up (better safe than sorry)
Clicked safe menu and toggled safe mode
Once in safe mode, wipe data/factory reset, then wipe cache, go to mounts and format /system, then wiped Dalvik
(sd-ext error when wiping Dalvik is ok)
Then, install .zip from sd card and select ROM.
Reboot, and behold the glory of ICS!

When you are done playing, reboot and get back into safe-strap and toggle to unsafe, reboot. You're back to your normal ROM.
