Am I the only one who thinks the RAZR will be better than the GNex?

Will it still be top dog when Moto can't deliver on their promise to bring a timely update to ICS. Q1 or Q2? Yeah right, I'll believe it when I see it.

Yes it will. If I never see ICS it will be top dog for me. Please understand, I am happy you like the Nexus. I applaud your choice. I think it's clearly the best phone for you. It isn't for me. I don't like plastic. I like strong build quality and strong phone radio. I like moto's apps, and I really like moto's accessories. I don't want to root. I'm still happy with how my og droid runs on froyo, it does all I need. I use this phone for work. I like the nano coating. I like the encryption. I like the lapdock. I have read all the stuff. I started thinking Nexus, but upon further review, Razr is for me. I made my choice. This choice was really confirmed for me when I actually got to see the a razr at the vzw store. You made your choice, I hope it's great for you. Root on!

No replaceable battery

The battery seems to bother some. By being non-replaceable, they made it more tolerant of moisture and water problems. It should have good talk time with (I think) a 1750 battery. There are small battery chargers that plug into the USB port for those rare cases when a standard charger is not convenient.

The battery (in most cases) isn't a deal breaker to most of us.:icon_ lala:

im ok with the battery....the sd card would have been a whole other issue....and the nexus doesnt have a removable sd card.....

I guess us nexus users will get used to the none removable sd card i mean the only time u realy need to take it of is when u 1st get it to transfer things

Odin Rooted Samsung Fascinate

for me..my droid never really wants to play nice with my imac....so the sd card is a big deal for me to access the pics and vids...

About Moto and updates....

Lets not forget that the Droid X1 got GB before some other phones, including one with stock Android. Even got Froyo about a month after it launched. Even tho its a Nexus and it will get updates first....the company that had issues with updates was Samsung, not Moto. Its only been a lil over a year since the Droid X1 and Galaxy S 1 launched, so its not like the update thing is news to ppl. Dont know what happened with the Droid 2.

But like I said before....having the latest software first is great n all....but between software and hardware....you can tweak software, not hardware on these phones. I will take a phone I feel has better hardware over a phone that has better software. Samsung has done better hardware wise since the Galaxy S 1 tho, I will give them props for that. No more need for a lag fix either since the GS2, for their high end phones anyway.

[h=3]Costco Selling Droid RAZR With FREE Bonus Pack![/h]

includes a portable charger. So those are available to use on these phones.

You did not even see a G-Nexus, so how do you know it will be better than the RAZR? IC is good, I cannot say the same thing for Sammy phones.. We shall see. I think most of the GNexus fans will be unpleasantly shocked…

All joking aside though, for the dev community, which is what most of us are, the g nexus will be strongly supported much like the d1 was. This isn't just about hardware and software for a lot of people here. Dev support will be a big factor for these phones I believe. I have seen the activity at nexus forums and it is bananas

It's not necessarily that we look down on you, but my guess would be that a lot of us here are pretty passionate about being able to do whatever we want with our devices. Moto is against that so that's a strike against them. I'm really not for a device with random reboots, slow updates, and random loss of signal. It seems that all of Motos newest devices have had this problem so I don't expect the RAZR to be any different. If they would ever get it through their heads that they suck at software I would probably go back. It doesn't look like that's going to happen though. Does Moto have great radios? Yes, they have the best. However if that radio randomly cuts off then that great signal quality doesn't really mean a thing. If Moto ever makes a Nexus, I'll be all over it. For the average users, the RAZR will be a great phone. A great deal of us here aren't average users though so that's why we're going for the Nexus.

Do you realize that you not only conflict with your own statement of purpose, but also again making bunch of assumptions a/o guesses....?

"random reboots, slow updates, and random loss of signal. "

Lol what in the world are you talking about. Out of all the Motorola phones I have had and now on the Droid X I have never experienced these issues. Random reboots - yes, rarely, untill I flashed a new rom. Slow updates - I don't know what updates you are talking about. Random Loss of signal? LOL What?!

I have to agree. Droid 3 doesn't have these problems. Very stable and dependable. Update came soon after the phone's launch.

If the RAZR is anything like the Droid 3, it'll be great.
