Amazon leaked bionic pics

You aint seen whining yet. Just wait until the pentile haters come around.

I, for one, am *really* geeked about this phone. I will be ordering it the minute it becomes available.

And just to be clear:

1. I don't care that it might have a pentile screen. Seriously, you people are every bit as bad as the audiophiles who moan about mp3's
2. I'm not interested in the galaxy s2 (since it likely won't have LTE), nor do I care that you like that phone better.
3. I could give two craps about the bootloader either way. I hacked my Droid 1. Been there, done that. If I never have to wipe and reload my apps ever again I will be perfectly happy.

Thank You!!! You said it all!!! I am with you 100%!!!

AGREED, especially on number 3 :)

i dont know what kind of crazy ass computers you guys are using, but everytime i zoom in on the pics i cant read what it says. I mean i know its going to be 4g for fact, but how can you tell what it says on the dock by the camera anything. the only thing i can clearly make out is 8mp the rest of it is way blurry.

The reason I am skeptical is due to the X2. Nothing shows the short comings of the X2 like the D3. It seems like Moto sat back and said "hmm....we are having a lot of complaints about this thing being slow...dang Tegra....let's put the OMAP in the D3 and put a newer OS" I guess what I am saying is this. The D3 IS a great successor to the D1 and D2. The X2 is not a good successor to the X. Yes it is faster and a bit better...but just not that much different from the X.

I just keep seeing all this hype over the Bionic and am having a tough time justifying it.

It should be kept in mind that the X2, like the Incredible2, was more of a refresh than a whole new beast. And simply because the Bionic has a somewhat similar body...that does not automatically means it's going to be rolling out the same or similar specs. You're quoting specs from the first Bionic, back from CES at the beginning of the year. The current speculations and expectations for the new version are an OMAP processor (most likely 4430), 2.3.4, 1GB of RAM (ddr2), etc. Just ask yourself this: would Moto really take a step forward from the X2 with the Droid 3, then take a step back with their new flagship phone for Verizon? No company would intentionally sabotage itself to that extent.

With that said, it is possible, and probable, that we have overhyped the Bionic (since so many of us in this community have been frantically waiting since the first major delay) and it will, in fact, be underwhelming. But as others have said: there's also a chance Moto is going to lay down the gauntlet for all competitors with outstanding specs that they're keeping tightly under wraps until release. Time will tell.

This is my hope. Why the hell else would they be so tight lipped about this? I've never seen a device with so little info leaked pre-release.

I might as well get on the agree 100% bandwagon...lol

Just because so many of us have hyped it up so much, and its taken this long to come out when we thought it was gonna come out months ago..its almost a guarantee its gonna be seen as underwhelming by some, probably many. And thats another thing, some say Moto hyped the Bonic up all these months. No they havent....we did.

Same might be said about the GS2. Its taking so long to reach the US those of us in the US might be like, whatever...

Thats why if it does come in Sept I have no problem waiting til next year to see what else coming out. I personally never was too hyped up about it. My DX1 has been so good there was a time I said I might stick with it if some things about the Bionic or GS2 I didnt like.

Me too. Some of the people on this thread need drugs.

Why can't i read an article about a phone without people bickering back and forth about what the phone supposedly will be? You definatey won't know until it's released, so there's no point in arguing about it! :cus:

Yeah, if they wait til Sept to release this phone for whatever reason, you might as well wait and see what becomes of the GS2 or even the Nexus3, if Verizon even gets it.

That being said, if this phone turns out to be the superphone we all hope it will be, I have no problem picking one up week one, fiancée permitting of course. Bottom line for me is no LTE issues and great battery life and I'm all in. The OG Droid served me well and I believe the Bionic will serve me even better.

Someone smart finally showing himself

My greatest fear on the Bionic will be that it turns out to be a "safe-zone" phone with nothing really remarkable other than being the first to combine dual-core with LTE on Verizon. 8MP camera? Safe. 4.3" screen? Safe. LTE? 3 others out for months. Web-top? Out for months on Atrix. 1GB DDR2? Nice actually, but a rather secondary consideration. 4430? D3. If it is simply a sum of these parts, then it will have been a bit of a disappointment for those of us who thought it would be extraordinary. I still have hope that it will be phenomenal in some way, and I'll probably get it in any case, because at least it is an incremental improvement over what's out there now. But still I hope for something really cool.
