Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

I have noticed a huge increase in battery life since the update.
I have noticed this as well.

I never had bad battery life before. I considered it very good. But this update has taken it to another level. It's very noticeable.

My battery life seems worse, but that could just be all the playing around I've done with it this weekend which keeps the display munching away at the battery. I'll be able to tell better when I actually go back to work and get back into a typical use pattern.

just got moto droid 2.1 rom OTA update :D but no 5 screens D: ps does any one know how to install nexus live wallpapers without rooting

My Nissan Altima won't even work with the Droid... not since it came out not now. Nissan has to update something and if you think Verizon is slow... jeez.

I have to put people on speaker and put the Droid in the cup holder or the other seat. Luckily the speaker phone is so good people don't notice.

they increased battery life by slowing the graphics processor!!

on day 6 and still no update. D::unsure:

I'd think Verizon would want to get as many Droids updated this weekend as they can so that they load their 3G network off-peak with this update. When you've got over a million phones out there to update, you're really talking about a huge chunk of bandwidth going out.

Down Loaded update an my phone wont turn on

I got my down load this morning for my Motorola Droid. I did the update, when my phone tried to turn back on it is stuck between the Droid Eye and the white droid lettering after 3 hours I called Verizon. It continues this cycle and wont stop. In order to turn of the phone I have to pull the battery. Is there another reset button somewhere. I called Verizon and they told me I'd have to get a new phone. Any instant suggestions, I am having withdrawls!!

Droidless in Oregon!

Didn't even know i got it!

My droid apparently updated yesterday, I was getting ready to jog and i opened up cardio trainer, then it said update ( it was in my arm sleeve, hard to see screen) so I just hit accept or yes can't remember, next thing I know my phone restarted and ran normal. Then today I remembered that the update was out, I checked my phone sure enough I had it!

It's ok...I think the 2.1 upgrade was a little over hyped. Wallpapers are nice, the Yahoo E-mail...no big deal I had mine forwarded to gmail long time ago. 3D gallery is pretty cool, I do like the shortcuts ( where they there before?). News and Weather widget is nice. Overall it was nice, now I need to try and root. Had problems getting all the files last time (broken links).

Still loving the site!
