Her exact words, "It actually just released about 50 minutes ago however it will take about 3-4 days before everyone get's it.

I use to work at a VZW store, didn't know **** unless i researched it (which i did during slow times) or it hit my phone. a small part of me hopes your right:motdroidvert:

I read over on androidcentral's forum that one of the moderators co-workers got the 2.1 OTA about 45 minutes ago. He's working on getting the update.zip.

I'm on my Droid right now but do a search for vzwdroid ( posts started by user)

He's the Guy who was asking how to activate phone and how he called Verizon so on and so forth.

Now he's on Android forums claiming he works for VZW and its going to be released today.

I say don't take the info as legit. Its more than likely a hoax.

Couldn't be happier I finally just pulled the trigger to root & ROM this weekend! Now I don't have to get stuck waiting for the update to get rooted.

Do all ROMs come equipped with the un-ignorable compulsion to tell everyone what you did, even when it isn't appropriate or relevant to the conversation? Or do you have to download that as an add-on?
