Pull the battery right as it reboots.
Pull the sdcard
Use an adapter to plug the sdcard into my PC
Upload update.zip

You sure its in /cache and not the sd card?

Reason I ask, the stock recovery image only installs update.zip from the sd card.

Well, at least AS FAR AS WE KNOW; it does........ something different COULD be going on behind the scenes (or it COULD be a different version of the Recovery software) - capitalization used to emphasize speculation.

Nobody has gotten the update.zip from the SD Card in a relatively easy process. Just little bits of fuel to feed the flame here and there. Why can't you all just bite the bullet and accept the bull**** that this is. It MAY be rolling out, but nobody here has it, or better yet, this is all an April Fool's joke.
