Another boot animation question

How do you get rid of the boot animations that you flash in cwm? Flashing rom again doesn't work. Changing the boot animation un system/media doesn't work either. Would this be a data wipe thing?

I just keep a copy of the bootanimation zip that came with my rom or any other animation in an another folder on my sd card. When I want to change it I delete the current animation in system/media and paste in a different one of my choosing. Its worked flawlessly everytime. Always make a copy of the bootanimation.zip

It's different when you flash a boot animation.

If you flash a boot animation and want to get rid of it do this

Get root explorer and go to data/local and delete bootanimation.zip

Well I flashed the Zombie boot animation and still deleted it from the system/media and replaced with another bootanimation.zip and worked just fine.
