Anyone Recieve The OTA Yet?

Apparently HTC isn't admitting this or it was a fake! I guess someone could have made this up! Here is what HTC support said!

Dear Tom,

Thanks for the response.

Where as this is not an official HTC or Verizon website, we are unable to confirm this is actuate. The ICS update was never available on our website in the past, we are still working toward it so that it will work properly on the Verizon network. At this time we do not have an ETA as to when or if it will be released. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for upcoming updates.

I would like to thank you again Tom, for contacting us at HTC. Enjoy your weekend!!

The leak is absolutely amazing. I haven't had any problems at all. My wife was so jealous she had me put the leak on her Rezound. I got tired of waiting for whoever's in charge of releaseing the ota. ICS leak and didn't look back

The owners of droidforums.net, androidcommunity.com, etc, etc., should band together and pen a letter to HTC, asking WTF in terms of the ICS OTA release and demand to talk to someone in the know and get an answer as to what is up with the release.
It's been months folks have been waiting.
Some folks spent good money on phones months ago, expecting ICS to be released in early 2012.
It's borderline fraud, in a way. Promising something and then not delivering.

Personally, it's not a huge deal to me...I just got my Rezound two days ago. But for those folks who have had their phones for months it's got to be frustrating. It's especially frustrating I am sure, to hear that in a few weeks, jelly bean is going to be pushed out to the Nexus. That would put us two operating systems behind.

Pretty pathetic.

HTC is not the problem, the problem is Motorola is having issues getting all the bugs worked out,Verizon does not want us to have it until the razrs and maxxs get it first.

I bought mine for 200$ expecting ics long ago. A week after I bought it they dropped the price to 79$ for a while. So I paid more for no update long ago then people who just bought theirs. If I would have known Verizon would do yet another stunt like this then I would have just gotten the nexus

If the radios were better I would have a nexxus, but in the end I feel like I made a good choice, the Rezound is a good phone, ics or none

dont get me wrong, I love my rezound. best phone ive had and so much better than any moto ive owned (and ive owned a lot). I just wish it got the support it truly deserves.

Be that as it may...it doesn't matter who is to blame. HTC or Verizon...doesn't matter.
If it's Verizon standing in the way, then they should be contacted and demand some answers as to why they have failed to come through on their promise of an early 2012 ICS release.
And if they are indeed just "sitting on it" until other phones get it first...that's just ridiculous and a slap in the face to their paying customers who own a Rezound. Has that been documented anywhere? Is there a link backing up that claim?

I love the Rezound, and again, the lack of an ICS update is not a big deal to me mainly because I just got the phone and I am still learning Sense as I came from a Droid2...so this is kind of like a new OS to me right now.

But reading past threads from those expecting ICS months ago, kind of upsets me that Verizon would do this to you guys.
And yes, the Rezound with GB is a very nice phone, I love it. But ICS is an improvement, an upgrade with improved features and BETTER BATTERY MANAGEMENT WHICH MEANS BETTER BATTERY LIFE. And seeing as how the Rezound has problems with draining batteries quickly, the ICS upgrade is a much needed OS for some folks...and I would like it ASAP for improved battery life alone.

But no one knows how the leak will react when the real ota comes down. Will the ota replace no files, some files? Add files? Corrupt the OS? And how will your phone function after that?

I believe the HTC web site info while up said that you had to be on the current GB release to get ICS. So most likely nothing bad will happen to leakers other than their wet p-ants. Getting back in sync for future OTA updates might be an issue, so they may have to flash to the first ICS OTA manually.

ICS on my Razr Updated

I got mine on my Razr about 11 am today and it updated a bunch of the apps along with ICS 4.04 upgrade. So far I see some changes especially in Email.dancedroid
