Apps won't install from market...always fail.

Had the same issue, trolled the forums and no one ever had an answer. I searched a bit more and found out some apps will try and install direct to your SD Card.

So I removed my card and everything installed just fine to internal memory, replace the card and move the apps to the card, worked for me.

I'll give it a try, but having to take off my case and then remove my memory card to install an app is not worth it.

Yeah ,that didn't work.

When I did this latest flash, I could install apps but then the market would constantly FC. Now I can't even install them. I get unsuccessful again. :(

that's what happens to me - FC at the end of the install, but install is fine.

the odd thing, as I mentioned earlier, is that market FCs whenever I connect to the PC and turn on USB storage......

I think I'm going to go back to CM 5.8 or whatever. 2.2 is just causing way too many issues for me..constant redraws from LP in any ROM, now this market issue..

I was with my friend today who had a stock 2.1 Droid running Launcher Pro and her phone was just as fast, if not smoother than mine, with sapphire .7 @ 1.2GHz.

Edit: Alright, I gave it one more go because I didn't wanna leave froyo. I somehow got it to work for the time being...making a nandroid backup called "perfect" haha. Gonna mess with themes and kernels later. Hopefully they don't do much.

Edit #2: After a restart, it stopped working. I think it has to do with whatever is restoring in titanium backup. It worked fine before that, and right after, but after a reboot it stops.

EDIT #3: I tried again, but this time I did one thing differently. When my market worked on the previous edit, I downloaded MyBackupPro from the market and backed up my apps. On this install, I used that to restore my apps/date. All is well!!!!

Well We have a common thread. I used Titanium to restore my apps as well after coming from Kangerade 1.1. to Sapphire 0.7.0. Wonder what did it.

How did you get it to work correctly, in order to use MyBackupPro?

I downloaded MyBackupPro right as I did a fresh install before I restored anything. Then I did a Titanium Restore. After that, I backed up my apps/data with MBP and made sure nothing was Market related.

I'm thinking Titanium backs up something that messes with it, while MBP really only does the apps you downloaded.

fixed?

ok, so I may have fixed it.

I d/l the ROM, and extracted the vending.apk.

Using Root Explorer, I replaced the current vending.apk in system/apps with the extracted one and set permissions.

Ran Terminal to sync, rebooted....

and so far so good. *keeps fingers crossed*

oh, and got mybackup pro....LOL

Haha wewt! I like MyBackupPro because you don't have to click for every single app. Yeah, I know you can get the donate version, but I don't use paypal and just buying an app in the market is much easier than waiting for a donate code and all that.

Yup, I've not ever used an app backup but I bought mybackup pro based on the last couple pages of this thread. Once 0.7.1 comes out I'll do a full backup and wipe / factory reset.

we're having this issue on cards that were fully formatted and no apps2sd command used.

the market is screwy, has been on 2 different roms for me this week.

market issues: while wiping before flashing a new rom, delete the LOST.DIR file folder from your SD card. Then flash new ROM.

why? http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-general-discussions/8586-sd-card-what-lost-dir.html

cause dares dem bits of daterz in dare
(there may be bit of data in there)

I did this numerous times while I was still having problems. Didn't help.
