Awful battery life on rubix

Are there any Rubix users out there getting over 24 hours with medium usage?

I had the same issue with Rubix... horrible battery life for me. I couldn't go longer than 11 hours with medium usage. I uninstalled all of my third party apps, no overclocking or task managers, and the problem persisted. It also took over 5 hours to fully charge while stock took only 2.5 to 3 hours. I am back to stock (minus some bloat) and am currently at 30 hours and still at 20%. Battery life is fantastic.

Rubix was the fastest and most stable of any ROM I had tried but the battery issue just killed it for me. I wish I knew what was going on because I would love to switch back.

Well it turns out its completely phone specific, but I'd have to say 11 hours for a smart phone is pretty damn good.. I've never had more than 14 hours out of a droid phone EVER. My original droid or my droid x

Interesting... battery life on this droid x has been exceptional from day one. I was very surprised when it ran longer than the Droid Eris.

On a side note, I cannot apply any OC or voltage to my droid x whatsoever. Any adjustment over 1ghz will put it into turtle mode and any low voltage adjustments are unstable. I did get my device on day 1. I am starting to wonder if there is something different about these day 1 devices.

No doubt... i don't understand how folks can be happy about 11 hours.... im at 32 with about 3 hours left!

I got my X when released, running Rubix 1.6 (and 1.0 before) and being overclocked between 1.3 and 1.45ghz constantly with the extended battery I can get about 15-18 hours or better.

I tried the stock battery and got about 12-14 hours.

And running on a fresh wipe, stock ROM, no overclock, stock battery, got about 12-14 hours also.

Thats my experience, I know it varies per device.

PS- I ALWAYS charge my phone at night while im sleeping, every night, always have. So I could care less if it lasts longer than the day, as long as it lasts throughout the day.

didn't realize there was a new version past 1.0... maybe i'll give that a shot.

Just released a day ago, couldnt tell you if battery life is improved, for me it seems to be around the same, but its only been a day so kinda hard to tell.

Ok, so I know that the cell radio report in the battery manager is a bug. What about the phone idle indicator though? I recently bounced back to SSX because once rubix 1.6 came out I jumped on it like a fat kid on his birthday cake so I never really gave SSX much of a run. I looked at my battery stats and noticed that my phone idle is drastically lower on it compared to what it was on rubix 1.0/1.6. I did have to sbf to install SSX though since it bricked going from rubix so the key to it might be getting rubix up from a fresh sbf for me which i might try tomorrow. Comparing uses, I spend a lot of free time surfing or playing a random app game. By the time I need to recharge the phone idle is always ahead of the display on battery manager for Rubix. It's not a close finish either. For the SSX side the phone idle isnt anywhere near with the display being ahead.

Been unplugged for 6 hours now, god running, Google maps, email and tweeting. Sitting at 50%.
