Battery life on CM7. Let's hear it...

are yall wiping battery stats. Be sure to do that when you are going from rom to rom. for some reason the battery will say that its full on a rom when it really isn't. Check out the link that is in my signature for instructions on how to wipe battery stats.

I am on rooted GB and I was able to pull 26 hours of battery life. Out of that 26 hours, 2 and 1/2 with the screen on which was 39% of the battery, idle and standby were both around 15%. I would have to say that isn't too bad for being on gingerbread eh?

I wipe my battery stats every ROM switch but I haven't switched to a different ROM since cm came out
Now my battery is a little worse since I installed the .12 baseband but I haven't been home in about 2 weeks so I haven't been around wifi let alone a strong 3g signal all the time
Maybe if I give it a few days it'll get better since I'm home using my wifi

A quick question for all you cm experts. Pre-cm7 install, to do a deep-charge of the battery, I would first power down my phone. Then, I would plug the phone into the wall charger, and the M logo would appear, and then a battery charging animation would appear.

I just installed cm7 (using nightly 21), and when I do the same thing, the phone boots up into cm7 instead of a battery charging animation. Is this normal, or is something borked?

If this is normal, will the battery charge as well if I leave it plugged in for a similar length of time (say overnight)?

Thanks much!

Mine does the same

I am running juice defender and android overclock with under clocking profiles.

Still only getting 12 hours moderate texting and 1 20min gps
Trip.

I give up.

Battery life isn't that good here yet. Hoping it will get better with these nightlies, because the customization and responsiveness are the best out there.

One thing i have noticed is that there are no settings for auto sync other than to turn it off completely. Even if you turn it off most everything still syncs except gmail. I work in a bad signal area and this eats battery life very quickly. Unless i am missing something, these setting need to be added to the settings so you can have it auto sync at an extended time periods.

my observations about the battery life on CM7
(i'm on nightly 15)
When actively using the phone....I think battery life is Good.
When the phone is idle.....battery life is quite bad. (the worst I've seen when compared to rooted Stock GB and Liberty GB)

Not overclocking, no voltage tweaks, regular battery.

edit... the Battery Usage info points to Phone Idle and Cell Standby as the culprits when I'm not using my phone which would make sense. It just seems they use up waaay too much battery.
I 99% of the time have a good strong 3g signal.

Are people having good luck with Quick Clock Advanced? (mainly for the purpose of Under Volting)
I tried it once when I first switched to Gingerbread and something wasn't right and haven't tried it since.

Just another point of data for comparison:

After my first day of installing and using cm7 (nightly 21), the battery was drained. I pulled the battery and used a wall charger I picked up on ebay to charge the battery fully overnight.

The following morning, I popped in the new battery and booted up the phone. Then, I rebooted into recovery and wiped battery stats. Rebooted the phone back into CM7 and went about my daily routine of working, etc.

Before plugging my phone in to recharge last night, I checked on the battery stats and saw 15+ hours of light usage, and when I plugged in the wall charger, the charging screen said I had 20% battery left. Not to shabby, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Last night, I did not pull the battery and use the wall charger, so I am interested in seeing if the battery charge today is as good as it was yesterday.
