Behold the Motorola Atrix 4G

CK, I thought you did not do locked down devices. Motorola is locking that down and it will be full of blur.

This device will in fact hit VZW. Probably not under the same moniker but it will be hitting Verizon supposedly in the February/March time frame

AT&T stated in their press release that this would be an AT&T exclusive for 1st quarter 2011. Theat means that most likely VZW won't see this until 2nd quarter 2011...which as someone else stated - will offset the iPhone5 on AT&T.

Considering AT&T is pretty good here in San Antonio, TX and Verizon has been getting worse by the week here...I will be getting this phone on AT&T the day it is released.

This simply blows the Thunderbolt out of the water.

Anyone notice the display resolution!!!
yes this is correct. I posted too quickly but the reference link I posted reflected end of Q1 launch on VZW from a trusted source.

I cant imagine that VZW would not get the equivalent to that phone..

Ill admit, i want that.. in a bad way... my only concern is Voice quality.. my gave my Daughter my D1 and its hard to understand her sometimes.. Same goes with my buddy.. he has a D1, hard to hear that guy..

Docking station=brilliant idea

Yes - and I will be getting all three.

Motorola is a brilliant company. First - they pack the phone with leading edge hardware - to rival just about any other phone on the planet. Then they design very nice accessories - their docking stations are wonderful. The Car Dock and the netbook are wonderful. Motorola has built in revenue streams in these docking stations.

Too bad HTC hasn't learned this lesson...the Droid X was launched with multiple docking stations from Motorola - so they sell the phone subsidized by the carrier but then recoup much of their investment through the accessories.

Smart business!

What are my other choices? : )

I won't buy an HTC, LG Optimus Black looks excellent but the Motorola package (accessories/specs/support) is more attractive, Samsung's track record w/ updates leaves me hesitant, Nexus S (T-Mo)

I love my Droid X but this and the LG Black look amazing. I hope that they both come to Verizon by the end of March.

Can't wait tomorrow is the start of the CES show. I can upgrade my phone now but am waiting for a 4g phone from big red.

The docking stations are just brilliant!!

It would be so nice if someone could make the laptop station work with the OG droid.....Then I could keep using this beast forever!

Either way all those people stuck with ATT are going to be there longer now when they see this piece of technological genius!

I'm sure the hacking community will be able to find root access and get farther this than they did with the Droid X and Droid 2. I have confidence. This is just too go of a phone to pass up! :icon_eek:

This will DEFINITELY be my next phone soon as it hits Verizon. No doubt about it. I will wait as long as it takes. That laptop dock is SICK!! Gotta have that!! I'm hoping March is the time Verizon get it cause I've been available for an upgrade since September and need some new blood!! dancedroid
