Just dying to know when the release date will be. I am hoping that AT&T has an announcement set for this week to spoil Verizon's fun with the iPhone4 announcement. I plan on preordering the phone with all the docks. I am SOOO glad that I didn't get a DX or leave for the iPhone this past fall. This is just so much better than anything else out there.

There is someone on the Android Forums that claims their source at Best Buy believes a late January date is in the works. They say Jan 15 was going to be the date but was pushed back when AT&T found out about the Verizon IPhone.

I seriously doubt that AT&T just found about the Verizon iPhone. Now...maybe they just found out about the release date for the Verizon iPhone...but AT&T has surely known that Verizon was getting the iPhone early 2011.

That said - I really hope the Atrix goes on sale soon. There is only so much more I can stand about my Storm!!! Bring on the Atrix. I am ready to become an official Android fan.

As in price their phones low? What are guesses for the price? I'll take $249... $149 for the laptop dock(hopefully $99 be ideal)

Hi there just letting you know that i just got of the phone with motorola about the atrix and i asked if they could give me a price on the docking station so you can connect it to your lcd tv and i was supprised that a rough price he gave me was 60 dollers so that to me was not to bad at all so your prices you have to me maybe lower then you think.....:icon_ banana:

On Motorola's website it has more details about all the accessories, but still no pricing. I wonder how much more the multimedia docks will cost than the plain charging dock. I assume you can use the multimedia dock as a charging station as well, so I would just buy that one. I can deal with moving it from room to room if needed.

You can probably guess at the price of the laptop doc...Basically a lcd screen(?) or something similar with a keyboard and some additional guts...$100-$120 cost of the monitor, maybe $30-$40 cost of the keyboard, then internals equivalent to the mm dock? Remember this laptop dock is only for Motorola phones that support this docking system. So if you only keep your Motorola phone for two years that's all it's good for. I won't be buying this if it's more than $150. It would be ridiculous to price an Empty Shelled Laptop at any more than that when you've already purchased the phone.

Good point, all I'm saying is this competes with Netbooks that start at @ $300. And even if they go el-cheapo on the screen and keyboard, they're break-even is at least $120...and they won't be selling these to break-even. I'd be shocked if it's less than $150, and if it is it's probably junk.

I am on AT&T with the family plan. If my dad is the primary line and the one that pays the bills etc. can I purchase this phone with a 2-year contract without my dad (the primary) there? Or can only the primary sign a new 2-year contract? I will likely be in a different city when this comes out as I am in college. I am hoping to buy this with a 2 year contract and surprise him when I come home.
