Actually in all seriousness, the "official" announcement was Q2.

I have no idea where this Q1 came from that everyone has been saying the phone had better come out by. If there was another announcement, I haven't seen it. But I've asked several times where Q1 came from and I've never gotten an answer from anyone.

It was the poorly worded, poorly timed twitter posts and comments from Verizon and the tech community taking the CES comment about Q1 at the earliest. They are trying for Q1, but once you get a worked up group of geeks going its tough to stop them from foaming at the mouth.

Hopefully next week, hopefully this month I need to get back to my smartphone, stuck on a flip phone for about 7 weeks now.

They never made any mention of Q1. That's why the whole Q1 thing makes no sense to me unless they later updated the release dates for all 4 LTE phones.

Now that the announcement is official, I feel like the next logical direction for this thread is to turn it in to the "who has heard from their local BB about setting up an appointment to get their TB?"

I haven't heard anything but hopefully they're on the ball with these appointments because I have a pretty full workday thursday.

why do you have to have an appointment? Seems to me if you preordered it you should be able to walk in and pick it up.

That's actually my plan, but they mentioned when I ordered it that they would schedule an appointment to pick it up.

They must think this is an 80's hair band concert with the babes out of control throwing things at the stage. Not likely BB, but it would be nice.
