[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for the Droid X

Hey everyone this sound great and would live to try this rom out. (it'd be my first one) downloaded the monster zip and booted into recovery. Exclamation came up and I hit the search button. Nothing happens. Just sits there. All I can do is a battery pull. Tried rebooting into recovery thru liberty toolbox and same result. Can't get into it! help! Thanks

you have to be rooted and have clockworkmod recovery bootstrapper installed. have you done that already?

Thanks. Yeah I'm rooted on tbh gb. Didnt have clockwork. I do now though and installed the 2nd-init version. then when I boot into recovery from rom manager it just fully reboots to the home screen like a normal boot. Never gets to recover... TIA for helping!

Edit: just tried making a backup with rom manager and again it just rebooted to the home screen...

i'm not sure that 2nd-init recovery is made to work on your rom. it was made to work on cm7, which you're not on yet.

use this one then open the bootstrapper app and click the top button, then yes, then ok, then click the bottom button. http://crackflashers.com/b16/Random/Droid%202%20Recovery%20Bootstrap%20v1.0.0.5.apk

Sweet! I'm now running CM! Thanks for all your help there... now a whole night of making it look how I want awaits! My girl will be thrilled.... (not really) :icon_frown:

Best mod yet.

Flashed this then went back to liberty for perspective and flashed right back.....

Ok... how do I know which nightly to grab? Went to the TD mirror site and all I see are a hundred funny words like 'flower' and 'donkey' or whatever... which one is for me to be most current?

Yeah that's a known issue. If I'm not mistaken its the same bug that effects YouTube. Its a media coded that errors.

Can't boot into CWR after flashing v4.0.0.5

I'm on nightlight 4 of CM7 and I flashed the 2nd-Init from ROM manager (v4.0.0.5). And now when I tell the phone to reboot into Recovery it just sits at the Moto Logo, and I have to pull the battery. Any ideas on how to fix CWR?
