[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for the Droid X

I don't get why people are having issues. I followed the directions and it was fine. I was on liberty gb, I renamed the all in one to update.zip, formatted everything, wiped everything, mounted and installed through update.zip in recovery. Not one issue.

If already on froyo, it's even easier. No need to format anything. Just wipe it all, mount and install. I have 0 bugs. My phone is screaming fast (instant loads). Not one complaint besides battery. Do your research and you'll have no issues!

If anyone needs it, pm me and I'll call you. I'm happy to do it.

CM74D2 (1250Mhz-v6 supercharged)

Same here...Every step is very important to follow to the t!...

Sorry you're having so much trouble with it. I don't know why it's not working for you. What I can tell you, though, is the TeamBlackHat .13p radio update works just fine on CM7 and you don't have to reinstall it with each nightly - just once (as I understand it the radio works independently of the ROM). Same is true of gapps. Only thing that must be reinstalled every time with the nightlies is the all-in-one camera, etc. fix.

By the way..idopa walked me through as I had last minute jitters..lol Thanks again Idopa! You are a major help to this community...

ok last question and im taking the plunge. i have the all in one..do i boot into clockwork recovery then do the steps? and also i dont understand the mount system part..ive never had to do that before? and after the phone reboots how do i get it back into recovery so the radio error is fixed.

Yes cwm recovery..after all your formatting go to mounts and storage..and click once on the mount..then it should say unmount after..its just a safety precaution...

Thank You Very Much for that info!! I'm definitely going to give it some time to settle.. Maybe some of these things will get worked out here and there just having to reset permissions each time to install a zip is annoying.. I am also looking for a theme I can live with so far I haven't found anything I like.. Ugh... I am my own worst enemy sometimes...LOL Darn OCD!

No worries! Also, JRummy has a free app on the market that will link you to all the CM7 themes.

Whats that app called? I just came from Liberty GB v.9 So that's kinda funny, I have his tool box that I purchased.. Wished that ROM's development wouldn't have stalled..

I'm not sure what I have to use.. Am I stuck with just CM7 themes or Dx related themes or ADW launcher related themes.. I have no clue what I can use and cant use.. My favorite theme I just came from was that Ginger Juiced from Juicemane but he said he isn't going to port that to CM7 anytime soon as its new Tech involved he would have to learn.. So if I can find something very similar I would be happy..lol

You can use any cm7 theme. All the themes in that app are for cm7. Here are some suggestions. Honeybread, minimal bread, honey cream. Then branch out to the related apps section. All nice themes. Dl them from the market. They will then be in the theme chooser application in your app drawer. Find the theme you want and hit apply. Even if it says something like "all elements of this theme may not work etc... " apply it anyway and then do a reboot to fully apply the theme (a hot reboot will work as well and is faster) its super easy
