Bionic crawls out of the grave!!!

@DroidNCState think u cld call it a hybrid.. more of a refinement to meet bleeding edge specs and hopeful use smaller lte radio

You know, I read Anandtech's review of Verizon's LTE Network and the Thunderbolt, and this very thought occurred to me. If they can get a smaller LTE radio and possibly even a class 4, that would make me very happy.

If you have seen the thunderbolt it's .52" thick which is almost as thick as the Droid 2 /D2g with a keyboard. The Droid X is only .4" thick.

It would also leave more room for better cooling (if the rumors are true and that was an issue), etc...

There are many advantages to having a smaller radio.

The other reason the Thunderbolt is so enormously thick is because it includes more radios than the typical phone (which is why it can do voice+data over 3G). The Anandtech review explains this well (as well as giving a tear-down).
