I had to go stock .902 then do the 4.0.4 it would not install ICS with my root so now im jus randomly looking for root strategies on it but yea this ICS is awesome only propblem i had was my phone would randomly light up with no notifications txt or calls i jus changed power setting and killed that though

I flashed on the ICS leak in the name of the thead, Now I can not post to facebook or open links on reddit apps? any Idea's. My browser(dolphin HD) is working and I can open links with that browser but the build-in browser in those apps are not working. I facebook force closes and reddit goes to a blank screen.

What I have tried so far:
wiped partition cache
factory reset
uninstalled/reinstalled apps
cleared app(s) cache
uninstalled just app updates.

any help would be wonderful..Thanks

Can anyone help. I want to install this, and I'm new to the Bionic but not flashing. I'm reading stuff about backing up and formatting internal/external sd, ect and am a bit confused. I understand having to flash via stock recovery and having the file on sd-ext. Is this all that needs to be done? I'm on 905 root with no safe or bootstrap applied.

Not seeing any real improved battery life that some are seeing.

8h 16m on my extended battery and down to 40%. Thats about on par with pre ICS. maybe even a little worse as it seems a lot more stuff is running.

Obviously YMMV. I'm at 40% with after 14h. I don't use the phone that much--primarily data. I also use Juice defender with a 1 hour schedule for Mobile Data, so that is minimized as well. I regularly got upwards of 1d 3h or more per charge under .905.

I never had any issues with the smoothness of Gingerbread. I am not sure what I was expecting with ICS but it really doesn't seem any smoother as far as screen transitions go. I have always noticed minor lag and I still do. I do like the new keyboard but it is going to take me a few days to get used to the minor change in layout. The UI is very nice and I am still tinkering with the setting.

It seems peppier to me, but I also started from scratch and have only installed minimal "essential" apps, so that could be a factor.

As for the keyboard, I personally prefer SwiftKey 3 because it adds an optional row of arrows, and they key height is adjustable.

UI is definitely nice. I previously tweaked the hell out of things, but I'm finding stock blur to be very useful and pleasing.

Really liking the ics leak except for a couple of things. Don't know what everyone is talking about extended battery life, mime sucks now compared to .905. Also I am getting random notification lights that I have no idea what they are for. This could be another reason my battery life sucks so bad.

I decided to try the update. I was rooted with stock 875. I followed the steps listed at the beginning of the thread. I FXZ'd to 902 the OTA'd to 905. Everything there went smooth. When I tried to flash the ICS file, I get an error that says, "Please check input file. Either XML format is wrong or image files associated with it are missing." What do I need to do?

You did put it on your external sd and flashed it in recovery wright. If so you may have got bad download ck md

I just realized I flashed 2231 and not 2233. Do I have to start back at 902 and totally wipe my phone again? I've been getting my phone and apps all set back up for the last 2 days. Really don't want to start all over! I actually love 2231. Not sure I want to mess with it.

Now I see there's another leak, 227. Sheesh! Is there a new one every day?

Dr Jay,

I'm taking my first steps into this. I spent all day reading. I thought I was doing it right. I guess not. Any help would be appeciated.

Wood,

No. I used RSD Lite. How do I flash it to recovery from the external sd card?

You must already have the leak on your internal card you need to use a file manager I have root explorer what ever you use you need to move the file to your external sd card. You flash into stock recovery by shutting off phone then push volume up and down and power together a screen wil lcome use vol keys to get to rec then press up android guy comes press both your in recovery scroll down choose zip choose ics leak flash
