My D1 died over the weekend, used my old enV3 for a day then had to make an insurance claim. I forgot just how horrible the enV3 was. This "new" D1 should hold me over just fine until the Bionic is out.

Asurion? Last replacement I got from them was pretty bad. There were a ton of dead pixels on the screen and the slide mechanism was pretty broke. I was lucky enough to remember iFixit, found a disassemble guide and just swapped out the logic board (I broke the USB port), then had the same shell, which still works great :)

I feel you. I got caught in the rain last night with my Storm 1 (yes, I've been waiting that long for a new phone) and it sketched out on me for a while. Luckily, I was able to get the old lady running again and avoided the TB. Whew....

yeah usually you can let em sit for a bit and air out then they will be good to go. Heck a couple years ago I dropped a LG 8200 phone in the mud/raining once, and accidently drove over it in a Ford F350 and once I let it sit out and dry for a few days worked just like before lol.

my orig droid died on me last night. the soft keys on the bottom stopped working and verizon just ordered me a replacement. I did not have to pay a claim.

Nice, now you can have a fresh phone for a media player/reader when you DO upgrade :)

Sent from my DROID2 using DroidForums

Yup its from Asurion, I cant complain one bit about the replacement phone so far. As long as it lasts until the bionic comes out I'll be happy.

People just need security for there decisions. Sgt, you know you have wanted the T-Bolt from day 1! You lost patience haven't you? Good luck with it sir.

over at HoFo, wnrussell (who's pretty reliable with his info/intel) posted that the Bionic won't make it to market. Moto is going with the Targa, instead, which is slated for Q3 release.

The Panda/BlackmanX has been saying it will, while others on that forum say it will not. Unfortunately we're still stuck looking for traces of hints and/or simply throwing darts.

Right now my best temptation is to simply just settle in for a long ride.. if we get to our destination (Bionic) next month, good.. else... well...

you are absolutely correct - i should have included the other sources...

Its already been denied as true by Reliable sources saying the release is on track for the planned release date (whatever that might be:))

Wow, rumors flyin' like chickens in a barnyard!

I've pretty much set on "upgrading" from Droid1 to Droid X (not X2) by buying a used one and keeping my upgrade for when all this shakes down. At least I'll know whether or not I can deal with these huge 4.3" phones - it seems that's all that is being made these days.

The only downside to this really is not getting grandfathered in on unlimited 4G, which isn't a definite anyway.

Who are these reliable sources?
