Sure. The Atrix is a much better phone than the TB. The network it is on is a different story.
And the Bionic will be like the Atrix with better specs, and on Verizons network.

Heck, I just wish I could upgrade. I have to wait till jan 2012 unless I want to pay full price. I hate this crap of waiting 1 1/2 years with verizon.
Anyone know of a way to get an early upgrade without paying an arm or leg for a phone. I love being able to flash what ever rom I want. But a new 4g phone would be nice too.

Well there is always craigslist.
I saw a Charge on it for 250 where I live off contract.
And I feel your pain.
I am stuck with my DX until March 2013.
I might buy a Droid 3 full retail though for the OMAP Dual core processor, pocketable size, and keyboard though.
It seems worth it to me since the 4G phones are priced very high.
And just thought I'd share, but did anyone notice that the over a year old iPhone 4 is 600+ dollars off contract on Verizon?
Its the most expensive phone they have! Thats a nice Pay More-Get Less strategy.

Tha iPhone price hasn't changed because Apple sets the price of the phone and it is in their contract with Verizon that only they can offer discounts and price drops.
On the D3, I really like it but since I have 4g in my area I will be jumping on the Bionic.

I would do the same, (I have LTE in my area too) but I would have to buy it off contract, and the price of off contract LTE phones is significantly higher, especially at launch.

I have had the ThunderBolt since it has come out and I love it. LTE is super fast I downloaded 10 songs this morning as fast as I could select them. I will wait until March when the latest stuff comes out again.

Ya the only problem is in a couple years when more and more people get LTE, it'll slow down and 3G will speed up.
But it will still be fast.

I am waiting on the Bionic, but will compare it closely to the TB once it is released. I just think it is wise to wait since it will be dual core. I'm hoping that the extra time that Motorola is taking on its development will translate into a good product. Time will tell.what is all this talk about the bionic. we dont know any specs about it, we dont know what it looks like. it could be an LTE DX2 for all we know, which wouldn't be all that great. all this hype for a phone that we know absolutely NOTING about is a total waste of time.
however in thoery, if you can suck down the cost of the bionic, by all means get it, it will probably be a better phone if you are OK with a locked down phone and Blur. just keep in mind, about a month after that is announced there is going to be another bigger and better phone on the way. its just the way the phone world is right now. personally, the TB does everything and anything i want it to do...so did my original Droid....but i got a sweet deal on my phones so it was no big deal to buy/sell to get what i wanted. Duel core is going to be faster...but how much faster will it actually be in a real world situation....not that much. i am holding onto my TB until 3/2012 when my next upgrade is....then i will buy the top of the line phone that is out then....and i wont wait for the next best thing because i would be waiting forever.

Bootloader might be locked which sucks, I absolutely love my TB although I do have a upgrade on my account and could just ESN swap I think I'm gonna hang back for the next round, have a feeling something epic will be on it's way soon (patients)

I pick TB all the way. In a phone want I want is it to be as fast as I can. I feel like the TB will be smoother than the Bionic. I've used Dual-Core phones already and the TB runs so much smoother cause of it's RAM. The Dual-Core can't be utilized yet so it's not that great as far as I'm concerned. Also HTC is known for being good smooth phones. HTC all the way way meng. I mean computers are just starting to utilize dual cores. Now if a phone come out that has 770MBs of RAM and dual core, that ones for me!

Bionic will have dual core and 1GB of ram... and there are different types of dual core processors. Not all are the same.
And also it can be utilized. Look at the GS2 and D3.

I love my TBolt and by the time all the people who waited around for the Bionic finally get it I will have had 5 or 6 (or more?) months of lightning bliss!
In another year and a half I'll be able to pick up that shiny new 8 core monster with 3 gig of RAM and Android version Creme Brulee while they're stuck with their outdated Bionic for a few more months :icon_ banana:
