Boot animation

Did you try just putting the boot animation in /system/media?

tried system/media/, adb said there's no space LOL

retried data/local/, transfers, but doesn't show aniimation on boot.

I also tried different BA's and my own custom one, still get the same issue.

Moto logo pops up, a brief black screen and vibrate, and goes directly to sleep or into system with usb on. It can't be because it's booting fast is it? takes about 18 seconds....from reboot.

One quick question, does pe 5.0.1 have the ability to disable boot animation cause that is why my phone does and that is because I have boot animation disabled, that's is what it sounds like to me

I have mine enabled....

Does that "Switch boot animation" button do anything? just covering all bases....

got some redraw and calling issues, just felt smoother going back to 5.0

ok....I tried a Cyanogen boot animation, it works, I guess it depends on the animation files....

anyone have a Derrick Rose boot animation? I tried to make my own, but I guess it ain't working....

ok, I got the correct desc format, using boot animation previewer, but I can't test the animation in the viewer, but it did spit out the desc file....

I'm thinking maybe the animation is too big/long? is there a limit?

I just changed the video dimensions to 480x427, and it shows up, but it got weird....

current desc config:

427 480 30p 1 0 part0p 0 0 part1

since there was no reply, I started to fool around with the settings, the folders, and the desc....

Ok, thx fort he help guys, here's the final! Just had to edit the desc.txt to the size of your phone, it will stretch the reolution to fit.

I was watching the boot ani and i just started thinking....what if the animation was used to "warm up" the screen. I have noticed that it takes around 2-3 mins for the screen to get look nice and pretty(not matrix looking on a white screen). Anyone have any thought about this?
