Can't find where to drag files to on PC

after some hacking around here's what i found:

there is an installed driver: broadcom netlink gigabit ethernet

when this is enabled, it seems the laptop doesn't recognize any usb drives ( at least not with data; my usb speakers and wireless mouse/keyboard work ). i disabled it, and mounted the droid, and was able to get the folders to pop up.

now i just need to figure out what this broadcom thing does exactly. everything seems to function fine when it's disabled.

Plugged my Droid into a front USB port on my desk top Win XP computer. Immediately, Windows opened a box to search on the internet for a driver. I closed that box and went to the notification icons on the top of the Droid screen. USB debugging was on and the other option read "USB connected" with a button that said "Mount" and one that said "Don't mount". Choose Mount and then run Windows Explorer. Select the drive letter representing the Droid SD card. I made a new folder on it I called "Music" and then dragged some music files over to it. I haven't tried playing them yet, thought. Anyway, when you are finished, just turn off USB storage on the Droid.
