Can't install the new update.

I dont remember him mentioning he had a rootkeeper. So rerooting and then unrooting didnt help? Also make sure you're using the latest d4 utility 0.4.

i had the same problem and fixed it. first when your rooted, copy the stock apks and odexes and replace the build.prop from my first dump. change their permissions to rw--r--r and it will update.

i personally had verification problems during the patch so i replaced all deleated apks,odexes and build.prop and it worked fine
directions:
1.root your phone. and voodoo rootkeep it.
2.install root explorer.
3.copy the needed files to your sd card(apk, odex)
4.navigate to /system/app with root explorer
5.change the folder to rw from ro
6.copy the odex and apk from your sdcard to /system/app
8.change the folder back to ro
7.change permissions of the odexs and apks to rw-r-r
9.copy build.prop to /system/ with root explorer
10.change permissions to rw-r-r
11.reboot and flash the update

bty im rooted and the update worked fine i used voodoo rootkeeper as well

As you said earlier the D4 can be finicky. With help from people here I just could not get safestrap to install, but after the update I was able to install it using the D4 utility.

Problem is that i only rooted the phone and kept it stock. I did nothing els. Up until i tried to unroot the phone. Yes i got the latest d4 utility. I dont have a root keeper. Where can i download?

You dont really need a rootkeeper since you can just reroot it after the update.

It' s "OTA root keeper" by voodoo. Just search for OTA and it should pop right up.

Thank you that worked. But still couldn't install the new update and custom roms dont work just stays on a black screen.
