Before you do that, check now that nothing is checked in settings/applications/manage applications/media center. Also, have you tried sending a picture to someone else? Some older phones won't accept picture messages.

Agreed and backup what u want to keep from your phone (pics ect.) If you do a factory reset it WILL wipe your phone.

Good advice... and I just saw it somewhere else where someone was having a similar problem, they recommended dialing *68 from your phone to 'reset' it by hitting #2 I believe. This may be another option before a factory reset. I never have had to use this feature so am not that familiar with it, perhaps someone who has can offer some more insight on it.

Never heard of *68 don't know what it does but *228. Option 2 will improve your signal significantly usually. Changing mode to CDMA only will also save battery life.

Odd that you can't pic with the stock app I only had issues when it was frozen for me you are obviously not rooted so try doing a factory reset as last resort but I wonder if reactivating your phone would help, dial *228 and hit option 1( if it doesn't work don't worry) then dial it again and do option 2(will update your roaming and tower capability's ).

when I try *228 I have a message pop up that Verizon sim card is activated and updated roaming.

You should like dial to verizons programming menu options. Does it even give u choices? In your settings/about phone/ what is your PRL at the bottom?

It doesn't even dial the number, no chance to hit 1 or 2.

The prl number is 15061.

The *228 worked when I was originally trying to activate it. I have no idea if it is a global phone.

If u take off the battery cover and it has a simcard(would be red) then its global. I would factory reset now though imo. Don't forget to back up your pics ect. Also have your battery above 75%
