Cars!

This thread makes me want a Subby. Are the newer ones tall people friendly?
my god yes they are tall people friendly. the roofs are designed to accomodate a helmet, in addition to your height. most people under 7' tall should have zero problem driving a subie.

Good, the last generation STi i drove had my knees firmly planted in the dash making it a very uncomfortable (but fun) ride.
my wife is 6'2" and has no problems driving my car (36" legs) and she has no complaints (relatively speaking) about sitting in the back seat either.

more donut fun

i've got vids, but i want to work to stitch them together since directly from the DROID they're pretty boring.

i produced this vid with a combination of a camcorder on a tripod and the DROID in the window. it's a little slow in the first half, because i basically was plowing down 14" of snow with my bumper, but it picks up around the middle.

I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2001 Impala and a 1988 300ZX Turbo which is the only car I care about anymore. I get sh** for the green stripe on the Z31 boards (it was on there when I purchased it and I have no burning desire to remove it until I can repaint the entire car) but a lot of Z31s aren't in this good of shape. I'll take the stripe with a straight body and no rust any day. :)

I'm still debating on whether or not to continue fixing up the ZX or just save my money and put it towards something like a Lotus Elise or possibly build a Factory 5 Racing GTM if I'm REALLY ambitious. If I restore and further modify the ZX I'm afraid of it being a money pit and nickel and diming the heck out of me. Actually, it already has. lol

that is a good looking zx and I kinda like the stripe because it fits the tome period in which the car was born. nothing drives me up the wall like someone trying to make an old car modern. but if you font love it, sell it to someone who does and get something you like.

There are some awesome rides in this thread! Love the Subies... especially the new school STI!

My current ride is an '06 Saab 9-3 Aero 2.8T. She is stock for now but there are plans for a tune, bigger turbo, turbo back exhaust...

That's strange for sure.

I'm 6'7" and have had an 02 wrx and 04 STi and had no problems fitting in the car (can't heel/toe, but I'll manage)

I got a 1991 Eagle Talon (310awhp) and a 1996 Toyota Supra (515rwhp)

Currently the Talon is getting reinspected at a shop so I didn't take a picture of it. The Supra is about to go under the knife to run a custom compound turbo system with a Motec ECU system.

Hell yeah!@ at first i wanted a supra but they are really expencive to maintain and kinda hard to find..well, i do push a bemmer and thats hard to maintain too but kutos to you! One of my favorite cars man!!!!!

1998 Camaro SS - original owner, and I've done the vast majority of the work myself. It is a twin-turbo, the best it has dynoed is 644 hp and 701 tq to the rear wheels ... for the uninitiated, cars since the 70's started rating their power at the flywheel (bhp). So really, my #'s at the flywheel are around 750 hp and 820 tq ... it's a BEAST!!

Here's my weekend warrior, a 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 Doublecab with a 4.7L V8 pushing 310HP, 33" Tires, 3" Lift and Presidential tint with 70% tint on the windshield.

And my daily driver; a 1996 Ford Thunderbird 3.8L V8. I inherited it from my grandfather and already had the tint redone. Just haven't updated the pics.

Need some advice. I've had my share of sport cars, a Porsche 944, eclipse GT, couple of spitfires and a few others, but I'm a little older now (43) and my tastes are changing more toward a luxury sport car. I'm really liking the looks of the MB c230 Kompressor sport coupe lately. Any thoughts on this car? I don't know what year to look for, and better than others? I'm sure I'm limited to getting about a 2005 or older as I'm looking to spend about 10-12 Grand. Thanks guys...
