Cars!

Need some advice. I've had my share of sport cars, a Porsche 944, eclipse GT, couple of spitfires and a few others, but I'm a little older now (43) and my tastes are changing more toward a luxury sport car. I'm really liking the looks of the MB c230 Kompressor sport coupe lately. Any thoughts on this car? I don't know what year to look for, and better than others? I'm sure I'm limited to getting about a 2005 or older as I'm looking to spend about 10-12 Grand. Thanks guys...

What are you looking for totally? is it going to be a daily driver?

Imo, those benzes that are on the lower spectrum of their line up - especially the c series, can be rip offs. make sure that the c230 has the options you want - many dont have alot of options. ive heard good things about the kompressor engine saying that it will last awhile, but if you are going to do daily driving, id suggest another brand. for those years and that price/size, ill look at the lexus is as an alternative or a bmw 3 series.

my car is a 98 ford mustang. 140k on it.. still running strong ... not sure what my next car will be.... another mustang? evo... truck..\

edit.. my 100 post.. senior droid :pppppp

Yeah, it would be a daily driver. I do like the BMW 3 series too. Maybe I should check one of those out as well. Lexus, I really don't know much about. Another thought wasw the infinity g35. Thanks for the reply.

Here is Suzi: I never should have sold Suzi, she was perfect, I just thought I wanted to ride wheelies. I was wrong.

This is my RD400 TZ replica, 2-stroke street bike. I got it from family, it doesn't run, I won't put any more money into until I get a title, which will probably never happen. I wouldn't ride it anyway. I'll probably just part it out someday.

Here is my 2004 Subaru Forester XT. I've had a lot of fun with it, and hope to do some more mods on it. It's begging to go at least Stage 2. Mods on it so far is a Cobb AccessPort with a Stage 1 93 octane map, Cobb intake, Cobb shifter bushings, Primitive Racing front skidplate, OEM rear skidplate and OEM boost gauge.

stay away from the c230. nothing but bad is all i hear.

if you're looking for something sporty, two door and under $12k, find a low mileage RSX-S, preferrably 05 or newer.

built motor in. 10.5:1 compression. Its basically a two of a kind motor. it has custom balance shaft delete done that only one other motor has and that other motor is in the UK. This is one unique setup for sure. You can see the custom made intake manifold, with velocity stacks, and the custom coolant tank moved from passenger side to driver side. LSJ(cobalt) valve cover outfitted with the new PCV system. LS1 port and polish TB. Roush Racing Valvetrain, Patriot Stage II head with additional CNC port and polish. 8500 rpm redline.

My current cars

1. 2006 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner Sport Quad Cab
2. 2008 Mazda 3 Touring (the wife's car)
3. 1972 Chevy Blazer 4x4

My previous cars

1. 1998 Chevy Tahoe LT 2 door
2. 1992 Lexus ES300

My Blazer is in Texas and I really miss it. I'll bring it out to NOVA one of these days - It's got a full cab removable top that is great for cruising around. Would love to take it to Skyline Drive...

I loved (and still love...) my Tahoe. I sold it to my dad, who already has a 1999 2dr Tahoe and is keeping my Blazer garaged for me. I guess there is something about that 2dr Chevy SUV style... I just love it.

I think I'll wait until Chevy comes out with a Camaro convertible before I get a new car :)
