Just cosmetic bits for now, I just coughed up my go-fast budget on a shiny thing for the lady and the beginnings of a house down-payment.

My toy is a 07 Sky roadster, the best car for handling the Tail of the Dragon (love aggressive driving on the mountian twisty roads). We have a very large forum for both Sky and Sols, weekend events are long and very fun!!!
My other toy is a 67 Chev Impala ragtop, a true cruzin car.
Big ole F250 with a big block gas eatin 460
AND the Sam's club dog food hauler, a Ford MiniVan.

This looks cooooolllllll..........

So much irony here :). (i.e. most imports are manufactured in the states, and Chrysler is now owned by an Italian company lol) not talking ****, just product of the times.

right?

seems like only a few key brands still stick to their "roots". it's a bogus fight anymore. chances are, alot of those japanese car companies (toyota, honda) have done more for their area than the big three have in decades.

still, the label sticks. it is what it is.

Yet another WRX:

saw the username on this post so had to check it out.

Sold the STi I had posted earlier in the thread, picked up a super cheap wrx to toy around with, it's a fun car to have in the garage to beat on once in a while. And the insurance is SO much cheaper.

I like mine American, blue, with a white double stripe down the center, and black on the interrior. The plate should read "meanas1" but does not because everyone messes with it most especially the state troopers who wrote me my first ticket in it.

I am a blessed woman whose excellent Husband bought it for her after saving to buy it for me as a late ten year surprise wedding anniversary present. Its 157 of
200.

Great thread. I'd figure I'll drop into my comfort zone. I'm currently a 16 yr master tech w/ L1 certification. I work for a Honda dealership. I was building American before honda and then fiddled with air cooled vw's .....got the honda itch and built an integra drag queen. 11.7 @118mph and didn't tear it down until end of every season to freshen it up. Got married, had 2 daughters and now I'm back to American muscle. Picked up a 1964 Belair wagon and I'm going to build it to have some punch but mainly to roll with the family.

Yep, that's why I went with a WRX instead of an STi. Cost of ownership is lower, insurance is a lot cheaper and initial investment is a lot easier on the wallet.

Just picked up another Scoob; a '99 Legacy Outback. $210/year to insure. I thought the insurance rep was mistaken it's so low. I was :icon_eek:

my insurance difference between the STi and the WRX was over $100/month, and they are both listed as 'minimal usage' vehicles on my policy.

It's pure function, it's ugly, but I don't care. The factory hood needed replaced, it was actually cheaper to get CF then another stock aluminum hood. The thing I love most about my car is that most people hate it!

Pic was taken during our large early gathering the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, think we had about 50 subarus this year, beautiful weather, and subaru hooks us up with a lot of nice stuff, lunch, shirts, and a ton of other things.

Also was doing a little work on the car during the show, and couple of the guys were jacking around taking stupid pics while I was unaware wrenching on the exhaust...
