[ROM] [CDMA][ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.5.5 [Fully Open Source](03/15/12)

Where do you see this?

It's an app running in the background. I finally found out it is used to upload videos to youtube. Why that needs to ruin on startup who knows. So i disabled it.

When you flash any update, install the most recent gapps zip directly after updating. Do not restart before you install both, otherwise it won't restore

CNA comes with GAPPS pre installed though.

I was under this impression as well. Was there a desperate gapps I should have installed? I thought this latest version came with it installed.

Like Bob said there is not a separate flash for GAPPS. It is all rolled into one.

Ok, I'm sure this has been asked before but not by me. I'm running the latest Codename build with 4.03 radios. If Vzw pushes an update to 4.04 or newer will I receive this update out at the very last a notification that my phone is ready for the OTA? If not is there an app, setting out the like that can enable this without re-flashing back to stock?

Is anyone having trouble getting exchange to work? OP says exchange is working but every time I go to connect it times out and it's driving me crazy...

You can try 4.04 if you like and switch back if you want to use 4.03 again.

First of all try clearing the cache and defaults for the email app on your phone. If that doesn't work, re-install the ROM after a wipe. (This assumes your exchange server address and credentials were all entered correctly)

Also, it could be a DNS error. I run into this every once in a while. If you are connected on Wi-Fi to the local network that the Exchange server is on, you might have to turn off Wi-Fi and try entering the server information again. I sometimes have this problem with certain Android handsets, it can be due to local network configuration not updating the phone's DNS address while on Wi-Fi.

Cletus - Yup, I tried all of that. Its a hosted exchange plan from microsoft 365 so no DNS problems from the local config. I tried it on my DX and it didnt work either, but I'm pretty sure that Rom (DarkSlide) didn't have exchange support. I've been reading through the forums and it seems I am def not the only person experiencing issues. Any other recommendations would be appreciated - I do have it connected via IMAP but it would suck to not be able to take advantage of exchange.

anyone else have an issue with the torch not appearing on the notification bar?

How about facebook? Can't get it to sign in with this version, but reverted back to the previous version and it works again.

For now, I'll wait for the bug fix version to arrive...
