[ROM] [CDMA][ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Codename Android 1.5.5 [Fully Open Source](03/15/12)

I had a similar "sleep of death" here too. I had been using the phone on and off all day, and at one point I picked it up from my desk (the LED was pulsing orange for a work email) and the power button wouldn't wake it up. I had to do a battery pull. Using the 1.4.3 kernel here, with the interactivex governor.

ok so how is this ROM? and where may i find most up to date version? thanks in advance..

This is where you'll find it. You may also want to check codenameandroid.com . This rom is great in my opinion, plenty of features. If you want to flash this, I suggest you also flash their latest kernel or a third party kernel, as the one included has a sleep issue

The power widget doesn't show even though I have that box checked. Any idea why not?

Strange problem yesterday. I had wireless tether running and lost the connection a few times... I was going to turn the tether off and on but Settings was not responding so I had to kill it or wait. I waited but it still didn't respond so I had to kill it. I open settings again and the same thing happened so I tried to reboot but my phone was frozen and I had to do a battery pull.

That's where the real problem occurred. My phone was stuck in a boot loop. I waited for a good 15 min. but it will Not leave the android screen. I tried restarting a couple times but the same thing happened. Had to restore another ROM.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea why settings affected the reboot?

Phones are like little kids sometimes they dont play nice together. I use launcher pro no matter what rom I am on I cant use the calander it force closes every time and I have to start LP all over again

Just curious if there are any plans in this ROM to separate the volume and notifications volumes (allow them to be "unlinked")? The AOKP ROM has this ability, but I prefer Codename!

Thanks!

Did you by any chance flash a new kernel, change voltage/CPU speed, or CPU governor settings sometime before it froze up?

Sometimes I do this and screw up my phone to where it won't boot up (I've even forgot I changed settings and wonder why it won't boot). Last time I fixed it by rebooting to recovery, wiping dalvik cache, and reinstalling a older kernel I had in one of my download folders. Booted right up after that.
