Cheap, flimsy battery hatch

On my second droid. I had the battery cover problem on the first one, and used the business card method, I actually used a movie ticket stub :P. On my second one because some dust got under the screen, no battery cover problems on this one. It is lame that it comes off so easily, I think a lot of it has to do with how grippy the surface is on the back of the droid. Just grips the walls of your pocket when you put it in or take it out.

They sell replacement battery covers on the vwz website. Also you could try taking it to the store and telling them. Someone on here posted that they replaced the cover for free. Its probably a problem that theyre hearing a lot of complaints about.

i folded up a receipt from a chinese place i had for lunch. Working pretty well, but i agree. I shouldn't have to fix this myself.

I had this problem as well, thought I lost the back, but it was at home. Bent the tabs a bit and stuck a business card under the battery. Now it's on so well I hope I can get it off when I need to. :icon_eek:

Interestingly this is the second Motorola phone that I have had this probem with. I had a Moto Q a few years ago that had the exact same problem with the battery hatch.

the worst part is that it says "MOTOROLA ENGINEERING" right on the phone... so when the cover falls off that's the first thing you see...

I'm just pissed that when it fell off the first time it landed on the corner of the hatch and dinged it.
