I've ben using the D1 for quite some time and to be honest, I've been very Happy with it. With so many Sik Roms/Themes combos out there for the D1, its hard to move on to the next Droid. I am getting the DX in the next few hours but from what I've been reading all over the forums, Installing custom Roms is Def not as easy as it is on D1. I am def a Change rom almost every two days type of guy and I need help choosing my next Droid w/out regrets. Got DX from amazon for an amazing $49 promo and may be planning on returning it before the return policy expire. I need all the help and ideas that ya'll can finagle and Holla at me either thru this Thread or PM me w/Ideal and worthy Thoughts. Let me also mention ,I hope that all members will respect other members' opinion and share the info freely. Thans in advance for all possible input:)

I know just what you mean! The X is a great phone with a ton of awesome features! I am like you with the whole rooting thing though so the bloatware and bootloader have me remaining right where I am...with no regrets or desire to change.
Personally, I'm waiting for the LTE/dual cores before I make any plans to move from my D1! ;)

dual cores on VZW is what I'm waiting for... or the Nexus device on Tmobile.... well maybe

The Nexus is nice! Where I live, however, T-Mobile is not! Plus, being a VZW rep.........

t mobile is ok where I live (obv. it's no verizon still) but a 'vanilla' device would be nice.

I really don't wanna leave vzw (and prob. won't) but I'm tired of my D1 and want a new toy. :) ... so for me its a race to see who releases a dual core first... lol

I hear that!! Everyone at work is blown away that I still have the OG Droid but side by side, its even faster than their phones are! ;)
