running great! with p3 kernel but im a chevy fan and have tried p3 before with not so great results. This rom is running a bit nicer than liquid frozen yogurt 1.5 though some menus are a bit choppy recently ive been having alot of slowdown issues with lfy 1.5. this is running pretty nice, just wish it had some nice themes.

Cm-6

I just installed CM-6 and I'm very glad to have done so.

I've never rooted a phone before, but when the upgrade to 2.2 started and my phone got semi-trashed I decided to jump in with both feet. In the week that I've been experimenting I found that CM is, for me, the best of all. It's the ability to get in and do a lot of customization that's really attracted me. In order to come to this conclusion I've installed a ton of ROM's and have done a lot of playing -- thank God for Nandroid!! :)

So much thanks to the developers from a neophyte... I hope to learn a whole bunch more down the road.

cm6 is NOT playing nicely with my phone i had to flash it like 3 times and when i finally got it to take i couldnt get the google add ons to take and when i did i couldnt configure my phone (i would click on the android guy but it wouldnt go on) so now i have to start all the way from scratch with cm6 and then do the add ons again, what a nightmare

just installed.. trying to get setup now. anyone know a good oc kernel for this rom? have been using chevy's 1gig ultra low, but i hear p3 works better with this rom.
it really depends on your phone, get the highest kernel you can and then if it doesnt work lower the frequency or increase the voltage

ive flashed cm6 about 10 times and it works but whenever i put gapps on i cant get past the android guy am i doing something wwrong?
i rename the gapps addon to update.zip then i try to install from sd card (from rom manager) and if it doesnt take i try to apply update.zip from sd card (from clockworkmod recovery)

This is a solid release and I have no problems here. I made sure to wipe the cache beforehand and before I knew it I was treated to a sweet splash screen. I was able to get all of my apps re-downloaded - something that wouldn't happen correctly under Eclair. It's also nice to see a slightly OCed kernel out of the box.

<-- Another happy Cyanogenmod customer.

I think I might try this out, but does anyone have an update.zip because I hate using rom manager
