Comparison Chart: Motorola XOOM vs. iPad

Now, I prefer Android to iOS, but I don't think owning an apple product is JUST about status. For instance, Macs are great for artsy people. And iPhones and iPads have NO lag. Despite the slow processor or memory or whatever, they are COMPLETELY SMOOTH to the touch. I think Android really needs to learn how to do this because I haven't seen a single android powered device without lag. The Galaxy S Tab has lag, and the fact that they've only been showing demo videos on these xoom tablets only makes me worry more.

I think that a lot of the people (not all) who buy ipods, iphones and ipads do so because it makes them look more important to their friends. Not much different than the 16 year old kid at the mall telling his mother, "I wouldn't be caught dead in Lee jeans.", as he insists on getting the $60 jeans. They are good products, but highly overpriced. No easily replaceable battery on a phone is just stupid.

I only wear Levi's! Take that you 16 year old kid! Boy am I dreading my kids reaching their teens. My oldest just turned 12 and it's starting.

Make sure to teach him to be himself, not what others want/pressure him to be.

Remember the ipad's been out for a long time. I think this should be compare to upcoming ipad 2, though I will not patronize apple.

Comparing a new device that hasn't even been released at all to a device that's a year old isn't a very good comparison.

Wow, I'm glad people agree with me on this. Well, I guess it's more of me agreeing with them since they beat me to it. As soon as I read this I was thinking, it would make a lot more sense to compare it to the iPad 2 since both are brand new and the original has been out a while, then I see other members have already made comments about it.

Well, it does come from Droid Life...obviously going to be biased towards android.

Just as if it had come from Apple Insider, they would curve toward the iPad.

You need to try the Evo . I've never had any lag with it .

I don't think the comparison was meant to be who's was bigger type of deal. Just lately everyone...including me has been pretty upset that the price of this thing was no where near the price of the ipad. But in Comparison to the top of line iPad you are definitely getting your money's worth, at least in the current market.
