Confused about ROM play

I installed NESOID lite on my droid. Then I followed the exact steps to install a rom onto my SD card/droid. Then when I went to open Super Mario 1 (the rom I installed) it came up and just like played like a demo without me able to actually do anything. Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong or something? Do I need the full version of NESOID or is there another thing I'm missing that I have to download?

Press the start button? Check the settings for what the might be, in case it was changed. Should be Enter by default.
