im still in need of screenshots for the black glass, and red if any body can post them for me thanks

if you would like a different text color for the keys on your keyboard, post which one and what color

Amazing job, I did not even know you could customize these phones lol I have barely had my droid for a few weeks!! Any chance you could make a pink and black one? :)

Would it be possible to make it like the purple but with pink instead and using Bradley Hand ITC font with pink (#FF00FF) text?

yeah no problem, except i cannot change the font for just the keyboard, one of the rom devs would have to provide a font package, and it changes the font globally across the rom. you can ask around for that font though, and ill check too but every where you have text it would be in that font

Trying to figure out what's wrong here. I posted when this thread had started but received no reply. I have downloaded and flashed the black glass zip as I would normaly flash something and I no longer have a working keyboard. The only option I have is for swype. The stock multi touch keyboard is gone. Do I need to be on a custom theme? Do I need to place the file somewhere else? Do you have a zip for the stock keyboard so I don't have to restore a previous backup? Where are the files for they keyboards so I can use root explorer to make sure it is where it should be? Any help is appriciated.

I just flashed in recovery and worked fine. Im on angel rom so idk if it can be done on stock. Im sure it can. I dont see why that would affect it too much. reflash the stock.330 zip in the GRD section. It should get you your keyboard back.

Hey there,

im sorry your first post was overlooked, i promise it wasnt intentional. Have you had any luck with this? There was an installation issues with the first keyboards i posted, but has since been fixed. In root explorer the keyboard will be installed in /system/app and named Latinime.apk

I would suggest looking in /system/fremework and making sure that the Latinime.apk is not in there first, as this is the installation error i was referring to. then redownload the keyboard from the link in this thread and flash it, then you should be good to go.

When i found out this was happening it wasnt too long after i posted the first couple keyboards, i thought i had gotten them pulled down and fixed in time before too many people had the error.. So my apologies for all of this and for overlooking your post about this issue, im usually pretty good about not doing that. Let me know if you have any more problems and ill be glad to assist you.

@jayR83, sorry man, I wasnt trying to sound like a and i realize I definitly came off that way. I will try to let you know where I stand with this phone. I still feel I am very new to this and still learning, I had an OG Droid that was rooted and flashed so many times I broke the volume buttons as well as the power button. Needless to say I could no longer deal with this and attemted to replace hardware myself with no success. So I gave in and called Asurion(never fun), well they gave me a D2G and I thought awsome, a new, more powerfull phone and I cant wait to check out all the ROM's. Little did I know, there is a very small community and no one working on development for this phone. Great, I am now stuck with a phone I would like to throw through the wall most days. I rooted this phone the day I got it in my hands. I have flashed all the ROM's for this phone, removed as much bloat as possible and tried every hack on here that seems reasonable. I have not yet found a ROM I am happy with. I cant stand the aftermarket launchers and hate blur just the same. So I saw your keyboards and thought maybe this will help me like something about this phone. I flashed it the first day you posted the link and you guessed it, now im stuck with the only thing in hate more the blur, swype! I have SBF'ed the .29 file to the phone and let it update over the air to .33, it is just cleaned up as much as I can. I have done as you suggested, the file was in system/app, it was not located in framework. I erased all previous downloads and tried again. Still no luck. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to wipe cache? Will this work on the stock ROM?

When i flash in recovery I choose: install zip from sd card/choose zip from sd card/downloads then i flash the zip.
I get:
Installing: SDCARD:download/xX_Black_glass_Xx.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Copying files...
Copying files...
Installation complete.

Install from sdcard complete.
I then reboot and nothing, just swype

Jay I appriciate the time you put in to these and any suggestions you might have to get this working on my phone or find me a stock keyboard that I can flash so I dont have to keep restoring to a previous backup. Sorry about all the history just thought it might help you know where im at with this phone.
Thanks again,
Bob

Downloaded the Purple & Black and no luck with it. Installs from sd card, but when reboots, only have swipe and it is still the regular keyboard. Nothing changed. Flashed back to stock.

I am having problems as well. Read the last 2 or 3 posts. I have addressed this with the developer and I am working with him to figure out what's wrong. I am going to sbf back to stock and try that before anything else and I will report back.

Jay,

Bad news, got home today and used RSDLite to push the SBF to the phone. Once complete I updated over the air to .33 then rooted with Z4Root just like always. I am definitly rooted. Added bootstrap recovery then rebooted in recovery and flashed the file you gave me. Well you guessed right again, its a no go. Just stuck with the swype keyboard. No need to keep trying as GB is supposed to be here soon then we will have to wait for root till someone figures it out. Thanks for trying and if you do still want to try ill be a test subject for you.
Bob

Man that is so odd...open root explorer or another file manager select system and tell me how many mb's are available... also wonder if its conflicting with swype since two of you now have difficulties and both of you have swype installed..maybe try deleting swype before flashing but have a backup ready just incase you get stuck with out a keyboard
