[ROM] CyanogenMod 9 [BETA] (DX) (8/19)

The gapps zip must have ics in file name otherwise it will not be right one

BAD ASS X

I used gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip... i am trying to flash GUMMY by the way. So should this still work? or Does Gummy need something other than ICS in the title.

Still not sure what to do as of yet.

what apn needs to be added?

and where do you add it in?

Well, I rebooted and lost MMS again so I don't think this is going to help, but I'll still post it since you asked.

New build in OP. Please read the running change log as well.

Well, I didn't like needing to wipe data.
Perhaps it had something to do with my forgetting to reinstall Gapps?
It takes over an hour to get everything setup the way I like it.

OK, the things that didn't work for me before, still don't work now:
Opera Mobile, Chrome, and
the app I wrote washdcsubway dies when displaying the subway maps.

Of course there must have been some improvements for there to be a new CM9 version.
But, I do not notice any changes.
It seems to work OK, but of course I prefer the gummy version.

Just flashed this new build over the top of the previous build, let's see what happens! I wiped the dalvik cache, so maybe it'll play nice.

Edit - Nope, it's boot loop city. Here we go with a wipe!

That's what i used and everything is fine but other people have had issues using that so they use this one http://sts-dev-team.us.to/gapps/ICS_MOTO_4.0.4_GAPPS_03_13_2012.zip i would start all over and wipe everything including data then flash gummy followed by flashing gapps but like i said i used the 3/17 gapps successfully so try the MOTO gapps if you want.

When I flashed the newest version of the ROM and wiped cacheand it would boot all the way to the lock screen and after about half a min the system would restart. I flashed back to the 19th's build. What happened?

Lag/Unresponsiveness

Hey all, just did a clean wipe + install of the 3/27 build. Forgot to flash gapps but they all seem to be there.

I also flashed the badass X governor.

I've been experiencing serious lag + tons of "wait" dialogues from the system blaming whatever application I'm currently using of being unresponsive. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

As for those of you flashing the 3/27 build over an older one, I also got stuck in the boot loop. Couldn't do anything but a full system wipe.

Angel did mention some folks having issues flashing the new build over the older one but doing another cache wipe fixed it. I myself would just do all the wipes including data to get a clean install but that's just me.

Somebody PLEASE help me. I've been at this for 11 hours (up from sun down til NOW).
I've searched and searched and tried a hundred different things, but this is my first time actually posting about it (I hate taking up valuable room on crowded threads).
But I've been left no choice..

No matter what I do, I can't for the life of me get the Gapps to install. It just says aborted every time. I've wiped and done all that jazz. I even sbf'd and started from the very beginning.

I went for a second sbf and my battery died on me :icon_evil:

So now I am waiting for the Verizon Store to open so I can go get this battery charged up.

How can I get this dang gapps zip to install! :/

My head is going to explode

Did you try redownloading the gapps again? You may have gotten a bad download. Which gapps are you using?

I tried both of these multiples of times:
'gapps-ics-20120304-signed' & 'gapps-ics-20120317-signed'

My battery died during sbf before I could try the latest one I've downloaded, which is 'ICS_MOTO_4.0.4_GAPPS_03_13_2012'

I've gotta get to the Verizon Store before I can try the one with 'MOTO' in the name. Is this the one I've supposed to have been using?

My mind=:icon_ poke:
