Ok im not sure if i did anything wrong, but when i try to download or update something in the market, it just reboots itself without it even downloading it...any ideas?

not sure, just updated all of my apps and it worked for me

wipe data and cache and reflash. Let your apps sync from market and you shouldn't have any problems. Sounds like you may have restored some bad data

Is the lock pin a substitute for the lock screen, or does it ask you to enter the pin after you unlock the phone?

YOu enter the pin first then it will let you access the phone. I like the way the pin is setup with other roms. YOU see the lockscreen first but in order to access phone u need to enter the pin.

which kernels work/(work well) for this rom? sorry, im new to miui and i just got it working. i could never get miui working till this release(process.acore....fc) so what do you guys reccomend, going to a different kernel(if so which) or sticking to stock. i know each phone is different but id like to see what other phones have been successful with

ahh thats a bummer...I don't like too see whole pin screen as the lock screen. I like how it is on the iphone, where you unlock the phone then the pin entry pops up.
