Loving the new MIUI (stopped using it back in Jan). But I am having the issues of the launcher FC every 5 minutes regardless of what I am doing. Theme wise it is the stock theme and stock wallpaper, I have not changed anything besides add apps. Anybody else having this problem?

Duplicate Contacts in address book
Hey everyone, wanted to share some feedback from the upgrade experience I had yesterday when I moved from 3.18 to 4.15. After wiping everything and installing a clean version of 4.15, I ran into the same marketplace issue where I was unable to download apps from my 3G network. I followed the instructions on here by toggling the "Download using mobile network" button but I must've done this while my phone was synching with my Google account and downloading my contacts, so I ended up @#($*@&(* my entire phonebook by creating 5-7x duplicates of each contact (and a phone book with 3,000+ contacts) and when I logged into my Gmail my contacts were all messed up there too. Fortunately, it was an easy fix... in Gmail I selected "Find & Merge Duplicate Contacts" which returned my address book back to normal. I wiped my phone, reinstalled 4.15, then opened the Download app and toggled the "Download using mobile network" button BEFORE entering my Google account info to sync the phone. It worked like a charm.

You may want to try re-downloading the zip and wiping data/cache and re flashing. I have flashed many builds of 1.4.15 and none have given me continuous or repeated FCs. If you can pull a logcat of your phone w/ the FC there could be clues as to what is going on.

Same here.. It's just the launcher that is FC'ing for me.. I love the GB, but this is pretty aggravating... I'll redownload, wipe and flash again. I wiped everything 3 times before I flashed the first time. Oh well.. I will try again. :icon_eek:

Maybe it is a recovery issue regarding the FC's for some people here. Try flashing RZR recovery and then flash MIUI. I flashed with RZR and have had not 1 Fc, going on day 2 now.

Same. with deprimed (primed script) compcache w/ backingswap partition and link2sd . quite smooth.

Just flashed RZR recovery (really like it btw) and then Miui. I'm still getting FC's but I've noticed it FC's the launcher probably 60% of the time when I select a folder to open. I haven't had it FC yet doing anything else, just opening folders. :wacko:

I re-flashed ROM manually as update.zip. No FC. But then restored my all app with MIUI Backup, here it came back, FC every minute no matter what i do. I re-flashed again, no app restore - no FC.
Then, another problem with Market, does not work downloading purchased app using 3G, switched to WI-FI works but slow, very slow, reception probable not great. Still wanted to see if i can restore some games. It did work, no FC. Apps like SetCPU, Adobe Flash player gets me FC right away. Reinstall Market appk - same story with 3G freezing on "starting download".
Other then Market issue - no problems with ROM. The only one thing that it is not as snapy as previous ROM, the last one MIUI ROM before GB.
two questions:
is there customer kernels that run with this ROM;
is there any suggestion on Market issue i am having.

Had to try the new build (1.4.15) , nice , but had a few problems and will wait for more stable build to try again .

I will wipe/re flash in a day or 2 (when I have time), the first time I loaded apps via titanium backup, this time I will manually reload each app via market to see if that fixes it.

Ok, here is the issue with everyone having FC's since updating.
Make sure that before you update you revert to the stock theme. Seems like there are a lot of people world wide having this issue. Mainly because they have themes loaded up that are not compatible to the new system.
