D1-miui-1.4.15 (Gingerbread)

Things seem to be working stellar so far...I had been using MIUI since December and moved briefly to BB after the last MIUI release.

As this is 'beta' and somewhat finicky I am following the same guidelines that Pete posted for his last beta GB build...

2) Wipe data and cache (more than once) before installing the beta build
3) Not restore data using applications such as Titanium backup, etc (manualy restore!)
4) Use only the (default) kernel provided in the beta build
5) Not modify the beta build in any way (removing apps, themeing, etc)
...

I'm not sure if any of this makes a difference...but my experience after two days with this ROM so far is equal, if not better than the last Froyo builds.

Same here ! I was losing hope for Miui on my phone after the last 2 editions, but this one has been excellent . can't wait for some themes to get ported properly , but otherwise everything is working properly. Only data issue was at work, it is a dead zone and took a bit to pick back up after leaving .

I just installed 1.4.15 and everything is working great except wifi. I am coming from the last froyo build and it wasn't working there either. It turns on then right back off again...then on and off and so on indefinitely till I reboot. Been using miui since last year and it was working up till these last two builds I've used.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Try changing to a different kernel and see if that will help

What kernel would be best if I am satisfied with current performance just want the wifi fixed.

This is such a great build!!! There are a few themes on miui-dev.com that work with any gb build. Just make sure you get one for all phones, or for D1 specifically. You may just need to try a couple out.

Is there anyway to get the old unlock screen back?(The one from like 4 builds ago, its a lot bigger height-wise.)

Is "Wipe Data/factory reset" the same as RM's "Wipe Data & Cache"? I am moving from CM6.1 to this and I want to know if I would cause any problems by flashing the rom right through Rom Manager.

What's the difference between the first and C? Also did this update fix all the force close issues and such?

The only difference with version c is an updated language pack. The update removes some chinese that was missed. The default note in the note application, some text on the call log, typos in the theme manager, and boot animation.

There really isn't much that changed. As far as FC's, I have only had 1 or 2 in the last 2 days, so I can't comment on any changes there. I doubt it will change much.

I am going to look into it. I know Bama was also looking into how pete implemented it in his gingerbread release to try it on miui. This is definitely one of the biggest issues that needs to be fixed, and now that CVPCS has a fix, it will just be a matter of time. I would guess that this will be fixed in next week's release if we can't get it into this one.

Well I think I spoke too soon... the fix apparently kills wifi... hopefully we'll get it figured out soon...

We (mainly jamezelle ) just ported the fix to miui. Initial test are looking good. Wifi works fine.

I finally figured out why people weren't getting text messages and what not all this time. Might have been figured out but I just now realized it. Haven't checked back here in a while

With the next update you guys should add the 3d Gallery back in. Luckily I was able to find the apk file from another build.
